Because I just did playing Wiz 8 when my samurai was targeted mercilessly by a mob even though my lord was a much more logical target for their attacks.

I just re-read the above sentence and I feel like a boob. I'm a 45 year old man ragequitting a game....wtf?
Knights and Merchants. Level 3 or so with the bridge. I get annihilated. There is much rage left, even after a months passing.
Kingdom: The Far Reaches. I ragequit, uninstalled the game, and never looked back.
Lets see, what time is it?
I'm honestly not sure if I ever did.

Usually, when I suffered some enraging defeat, I just try again immediately and look for ways to improve. My reasoning is that my current skill level for this particular task is higher than it would be when I waited a while, so it's better to try again immediately, perhaps from a new angle if it continues to fail.

When I do quit a game, I usually don't feel rage, it's more disappointment, as in "*sigh* I guess I won't make this no matter how hard I try", or "I'm not enjoying this any more, I'll do something else instead."
I don't think I've ever ragequitted.

But I came real close today. Was trying to get the Great Scythe as a completely fresh character in Dark Souls. I kept missing this little fucking platform and then I died and then I had to navigate this annoying parts of catacombs filled with skeletons that are way stronger than me. And again. And again. And agaaaaaain.

Almost ragequitted, but then just decided to give it one last try and if I mess it up - Alt + F4.

Got the Great Scythe. D:
I wish I could remember.

I recall ragequitting fairly recently, but I forgot in what game. :P
Years ago I remember very calmly unplugging a keyboard before throwing it across a room because I kept on failing a level in Hitman.
I have never finished the original Hitman, even though I have installed it on every computer since. It always sits there telling me how much better then me it happens to be. Especially as every other one I can finish with Silent Assassin marks.
Dunno if I ever rage quitted, but the last game I quit was The Last of Us after a little over 3 hours out of boredom. Because it was so new I managed to get Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen and GoW Ascension for it, so that was a bonus :)
Last time I ragequitted was before the term was coined.

Coincidentally, it was also the last time I played a traditional platformer game.

That means you probably didn't have enough rage in you :P

Interesting, I found I think completely opposite. The more I try the more often I fail if I found a hard challenge so rationally would be to take a break as if I do I know I'll find a different almost immediately but somestimes it bothers me that I have to wait so I try some more then I become frustrated and give up for a while, not actually rage quitting. After I come back most of the time I beat the challenge quite quickly and usually with a solution that I had no idea about the first time. Also because of this or some other reason I rather feel disappointment and relief rather than relief and satisfaction that I reached a new goal, mainly because I sometimes value challenges less if they frustate me (a true challenge shouldn't frustate me, only entise me to beat at it harder with more focus).

Anyway, regarding rage quitting... I fcking love it. The relief that I don't have to bother with the frustation anymore beats any kind of satisfaction from winning it, in fact if I keep at it I'll feel like I wasted time because the challenge didn't entise me to have fun, it antagonized me to frustate myself through the experience. Last time this happened that I recall the name was Dead Space, I was in chapter 9 and met some annoying enemies and I just gave up. I was unusually happy the next few days. It has happened some month ago but I would have to check my game list to find the title.

EDIT: Blood Omen 2! And ugh, I really, really don't like it that I have it on my GOG shelf. Frankly I would pay GOG to permanently delete it, it's so dirty. :P

Ultima 5,6,7, and Gothic.

Ultima's reasons is because the monsters are too badass and well you know why about Gothic.
Shin Megami Tensei: The Strange Journey
Halfway through the game, came across a ridiculous boss. Had very luckily gotten through the previous slightly less ridiculous boss after many, many attempts. Didn't have the heart to grind or hope that luck wins again, so I quit... not sure if I want to play any more games from that series.
