Hey GOG what are the chances of you guys getting Battle Zone that came out in 1998 up for sale? I had this years ago and would love to play it again.

That would be awesome and Jeff Bridges would probably approve...

...but this is a query for the wishlist, not the forums. The rule threads at the top of the forum page explain it all.
It was BZ II that came out in '98 too, so make sure you vote for the correct one ;)
Speaking of Battlezone, it'd be pretty cool if all the retro classics like Centipede, Tempest and the old Battlezone all made it up here in one super package - like 15 in 1 style. Of course, whether people would pay for them is something else entirely lol. I have fond memories of Battlezone...well not really, it wasn't as addictive as Snake and Tempest, but nonetheless still loads of fun.
Getting Battlezone here would mean getting Activision here and that's... not entirely a good thing. Personally I don't see Activision wanting to adhere to GOG's terms.
In any case, they don't care much about PC gaming and they certainly won't care about old titles. I doubt Kotick understands the industry enough to see any advantage.

They do care about older titles, because many of their arcade classics will be going into that new Microsoft arcade thing on PC and 360. Also, it would be a good thing if they came, because that would mean they would have to play ball with GOG's rules.

That'll be $9.99 please!

Or it's the best thing ever. Getting the evil peoples to come to our side. Double goodness. No peace with segregation! :)

It depends on who converts who to what side though, doesn't it? Activision aren't exactly skint. If GOG's terms offended them they could aggressively buy out CD Projekt and either turn GOG into a bigger publisher whore than Steam. Or close them down just out of spite. It wouldn't be the first time, after all.

I'm willing to bet that's more out of interest in the 360 though. But at least they acknowledge their back catalogue, unlike some major publishers we could name.

What are you talking about :S
GOG would have to agree to it, and they never would. Don't be crazy, now. :P
Why does every thread on GoG turn into this?

CD Projekt are publicly traded now. It's their shareholders that would have to agree to it.

They are the primary shareholders. :P
