keeveek: I don't know. From what I've seen it's not that bad. It gives you more distance to look at, compared to the original, but yet things are not super tiny like they were in widescreen mod.
Poulscath: I see a lot of people making this mistake but when using the widescreen mod you don't need to set it to the full resolution of your monitor. For IE games I use 1280x800 even though my monitor is 24"@1920x1200 and it looks fine. But deep down I hate non-native. DOS games are fine, they look "rubbish" regardless of resolution. Anything from Win95 onwards (where the graphics became good enough to notice the difference between resolutions) I have a lower tolerance.
