You might also like Tomba, another PS1 classic. Also, Donkey Kong Country Returns for the original Wii is an excellent game and is very old-school in how challenging and creative it is. :)

Also highly recommended is Outland for PS3, which has tight controls and has a free demo on PSN so you can see for yourself how fun it is. Hope this helps. :)

Hmm Outland, was that the one with the blue and red colors? I think I played a demo and thought the controls were to floaty and the artstyle was too abstract, but I could be mixing games...

Still have it on N64. Was amazing when I first played it. Still good but hasn't aged as well as banjo-kazooie imo.

I think you are describing Outland, except I thought it had tight controls... and by tight controls, I mean responsive controls, not loosey-goosey.

I must have forgotten to reply you, I am sorry. I did played those Disney games all those years ago. Mini ninjas i completed a couple of weeks ago and had a lot of fun with. Lomax and I-ninja both look fun and I will look into both of them. Since I-ninja looks the most like rayman 2, i choose I ninja as a contender. Lomax looks more like rayman 1, looks fun.

Yeah played them both. As far as mediocre to good platformers go on N64 I think it might be difficult to find one that i didn't play. I absolutely loved the n64 (still do) and a big reason for that were the amazing platformers that came out for it. I had a lot of them during it's lifetime and i have added the once i didn't have ever since.

You realize if you played the "golden age" of 3D platformers on the N64 and PS1 (and maybe PS2/Xbox), you've already experienced the best-of-the-best as far as that style game goes. You're going to be grasping at straws to come up with anything that even remotely contends with the known franchises on those systems.

Here's another few I can think of :

- Oddworld : Munch's Odyssey. Puzzle-platformer with a unique and quirky sense of humor.
- Metal Arms: Glitch In The System (For Xbox, PS2, & Gamecube)
