lugum: no i meant the one you put on solved was star wars . all the clues given didnt go in that direction so when i looked at it i thought for a second that lucasarts would have been the new publisher and star wars thursdays game.

i think its gonna be hitman, thief or whatever but since thats already guessed i stick with final fantasy 8
Oh...yeah......my bad. Not thinking too good...just got up and all. 0.o

And why would me choosing a reply as solved mean I had inside info? I'm not THAT connected with the GOG staff. ;) (Though I wish I was)

Solid snake is sort of what it sounded like to me, too. The 1982 "hint" sort of sucks b/c almost every gaming company starting selling PC games in 1982 if they existed before 1982. Why? Because the IBM PC was released in 1982. Tada!

As with most promos, I'm sure GOG is throwing us for a loop, though. I half-expect Mario to be cold and solid and manly. And, on top of that, he "works" with pipes (pipeworks -- get it?).

Still, Solid Snake working for the gov't, being all manly and cold and solid seems pretty spot on.

Solid Snake doesn't work with the "solid" quote because that hero is's other clues include NOT being a hidden hero. To describe one of the biggest names in the stealth genre as not being a hidden hero would be really silly.

My Guess Is PITFALL-Activision.

Yeah... That Game-PITFALL Originally Created For The Atari Back In 1982.

Maybe It Is A "DEFINITIVE COLLECTION" Of All The PITFALL Games InCludeing A PC Version Of The One That Came Out For The PS2 (Or PS1 I Think) Featureing The Main Character Of "PITFALL HARRY".

It Is Just Because I Can See A Faint Pixelated Head With Brown Hair Comeing Out Of The Hint And I Thought To MySelf..."Hmm...Dude With Brown Hair... On A Video Game... Waaay Back In 1982?... Probably PitFall Harry!"
