CptFandango: Well now the seasons over its nearly Monday and I have no GOT to look forward too :( I have watched all of cbg19's epic histories and reviews etc, played the RPG and the strategy game a long time ago (ser mors is the best character in the whole saga) and don't want to read the books as I am following the tv series and don't want any spoilers.

This has joined into my unquenchable cyberpunk hankering (which was partially sated by the cancelled series almost human) But I'm hitting up the community for opinions and suggestions :D

Cheers in advance!
Dragon Age Origins, (Darkspawn=Whitewalkers, Loghain's claim to power=War of Five Kings, Chasind=Wildlings)
Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1 and PSP (Lucavi=Whitewalker-ish, War of the Lions=War of Five Kings)
The Witcher series (Sex=Sex)

Nirth: There's an excellent mod to Crusader Kings 2 that would likely sate your needs as long as you enjoy grand strategy.

CptFandango: I like the total war series and civilization series, but tried Europa Universalis but couldn't get into it, maybe with the mod the setting would get me interested, good suggestion :D gonna do a quick google shopping search now <3
There's a GOT mod for Medieval 2 Total War simply called 'Westeros.' It looks like it's still heavily in development, but I think there is a release version available. You can play as a Stark or Lannister and march around with your armies to your heart's content.

Strangely, the banner saga is the game that reminded me most of game of thrones so far.

And not the Witcher series?
Heh, I was gonna post here with all the mods previously mentioned, fantastic work Gogers!

I will echo the sentiments of others that you really should read the books; as a fan of the series before the tv show I can attest that you will get much more out of the story that way.

As to mods...I can confirm that Clash of Kings and Westeros Total War are a lot of fun, even if the latter is a long way from complete.
I plan on DLing the mod for CK2 as soon as I finish my current game.
I haven't played this yet, and barely play Skyrim but here's a mod if you enjoy that game:

Game of Thrones adaptation for Skyrim from the Nexus

Elmofongo: The Witcher series (Sex=Sex)
Hell yeah! :D
Do you have Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus or Netflix?

You can watch Legend of the Seeker, Merlin, or Rome.

I know you can watch Legend of the Seeker season 1 for free on hulu.
The entire Merlin series is free on Hulu. I think Rome is on Amazon Prime only. I'm not sure what is on netflix. You could also try checking out the dvds at a library if they have them.

Yes I would recommend going to your local brothel and asking them if they were willing to try "adult LARPing" with you. Give them the attached photograph to demonstrate what you mean. Don't forget your sword!
Attachments:
Less fantasy and more historical drama, but The Tudors shares some commonalities. (Medieval, kings, back stabbing, sex) Not as good as Game of Thrones, but it might help with the break.

Not one of Supernatural's best episodes, but they did a Larping episode
, of course the girls wound up being lesbians in that one lol

I bought my girlfriend Season 8 of Supernatural for her birthday last year and haven't watched it yet, so will definitely have to check out the episode.

My favourite movie with LARPing in it is Role Models

Haven't touched it yet (too many unfinished 3D cRPG already).

Dragon Age Origins feels a lot like Game of Thrones. Especially if you choose to play as human noble.

****************SPOILER****************

It's kind of a "fast forward" Game of Thrones. King comes, asks your father to join him, king dies, you take your Mabari (your dog = Dire Wolf) with you and take the black, or whatever it is you take when you join the Grey Wardens.

****************SPOILER END****************
You could try the Malazan Book of the Fallen for a similarly grand fantasy series, although there is less emphasis on politics and more on combat in those books.
