And still a month to go :)
Their latest update showcases the lighting system. While it looks good, it's really the music that caught my attention.
I still want to know if the game will have a travel map/world map

I know it's early in your development process, but do you have any idea how it will work? Will the map have random encounters where enemies will attack you while traveling, like Fallout?

We're planning on having some kind of random encounter system for outdoor exploration, but we've yet to implement anything. This is one thing we'd actually really appreciate your guys' feedback on. What kind of random encounter system would you like to see?
Cool art-style. I guess it's old-school but it's fresh and unique at the same time, I think it has a lot of character and charm. The game's atmosphere is promising too, based on the music so far.

And the mention of day/night/weather cycles, NPC schedules, bounties placed on the characters' heads - the game seems very interesting. I hope that the game world will be as detailed, believable and interactive as these things suggest. I will definitely pledge $15 soon.

Side note: I think it's really cool when day/night/weather cycles have an effect on gameplay. Aside from NPC schedules, they could determine if certain spells can be cast (like the Moon Ray spell in Might and Magic VI), when certain monsters appear, when certain quests can be completed, etc. But I'm not sure if these sort of things are possible in a low budget indie game, so they are not expectations of mine.
The music samples are great.
I had a quick question about the crime system: You're not going to be able to get off any crime by just paying a fine, right?
So far with the crime system, if you choose to go to jail you'll incur a stat penalty. Alternatively you could choose to pay a fine. Both the fine and stat penalty are proportional to the severity of the crime, therefore, in theory at least, a stat penalty should always roughly be equal in punishment to the fine (keep in mind that money is very important and doesn't loose its value like in some games). So yes, you'll be able to choose between fine/jail for any crime.
Another oldschool rpg ? Great, keep them coming !!!

Is this for any crime. Because in the Elder Scrolls games, whose crime system sounds like what you're planning, I've always found it weird that you can get away with anything including murder if you paid a fine just like a parking ticket.
