While he was angry for good and valid reasons, there are better and far more effective ways to make a point to a kid. That's my opinion at least.

As for the request, yeah, I agree that games in the original state, as much as that is possible, would be best, adult content and all.

lukaszthegreat: We need Culpa Innata here in its uncensored version. I bought it via steam but it is cut (and it is not simple removal of a sex scene. more drastic story-affecting cuts)
Do you have any idea if the GamersGate version is cut or not? I bought it there during a sale, but haven't played it yet.

Navagon: Indigo Prophecy is definitely censored though.
What makes you say that?

Stixsmaster: Direct2Drive.com was also selling Manhunt 2 on its site previously untill Gamefly boughtem out...now Gamefly the new owners have become skared shitless and took the game off the site for buy...not only that they skrewd me a reliable customer over by not providing me now with their new site design with access to my account nor to any of my previous purchases...

Gamefly has stated that no games were lost in the transition from D2D. It's just taking forever to get things done.

Your account is still there, you need only reset your password, as instructed on the login page.
The GOG version of Fallout 1 is the censored UK version which has had children as well as some drug references cut from the game. However, you can simply apply the latest patch to remove the censorship. Patching the game is a very good idea anyway, see my post in the Fallout forum.

WBGhiro: I'm actually fairly sure the kids are present in the second game. will check later.
I didn't write that. Bloody forum quote editing misfeature... There are kids in both Fallout 1 and 2, but there are censored localizations of Fallout 1 that have no kids.

Fuzzyfireball: Are you talking about the GOG version? It is uncensored.
I might be mistaken, but I thought that there was some sexual content that was cut from all versions of the game before it could duck the AO rating? To be clear about this I'm not saying that the GOG version is any more censored than any other. It's just that I've heard there are things that didn't make it into any released version of the game.

there is cut sexual content from the game. from American release. nudity also.
The European release was not cut. Whether something was removed from the game BEFORE it was released is not really an issue, is it?

Not sure about that, but GOG is the only DD site with the AO version.

Ah, I see. I thought all regions got the cut down version. Well, sorry for the confusion then.

Ric1987: Aside from Manhunt 2(was Manhunt 2 even ever released in it's AO form? I have to look that up now) are there many more games this applies to?

I'm all for non-censorship though so I agree.
Yeah, we get some pretty heavily censored titles in the US. Sacred had a US version (the crappy one) and the "Import" version with the sex stuff left in. No, we generally don't censor violence in the US until it becomes very extreme (and I'm not arguing that even that should be censored, just pointing out we tolerate a lot of violence before considering censorship) but you don't need much more than a topless demon to get censored for sex here.

Unfortunately not. I've sent them an email though, hopefully they'll know which version they sold me. ;)

From my googling, as far as I can tell the situation is somewhat similar to Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy in that, the US release was censored, the European release wasn't censored and then the US got an internet only "uncut release". As long as GamersGate sells the European version it should be ok (I think the GG one is a lot cheaper and DRM-free).

DieRuhe: Log in, go to My Account, and select "Purchase History". Everything I've purchased at D2D is there, all the way back to my first purchase in 2008. True, not everything is showing up on the Gamefly client at the moment, but you can still access everything on the actual GameFly website.
How? I goto D2D.com and try to login with my previous account before the site got its major makeover and now I cant even get access to that...

P.S. I updated my first post here in this thread with names of peeps I could clearly see stating they wanted to be part of this...
