And it does also seem to be true that he gets more control with later cuts, which makes sense.
I'm not sure at which point Scott decided to redub Rutger Hauer's deliberate "father/fucker" melding with a distinct "father"

Yes, if it had narration you watched the theatrical.
Now go and find a copy of the Final Cut and watch that.

2001 A Space Odyssey? Never fair to play the trump card in an argument...

Oh I'm willing to contend that there may be films out there with a richer more interesting story than Blade Runner, and perhaps even better dialogueandr acting (looking at you Sean Young) but the film, to me, is utterly insurmountable when it comes to atmosphere they created to convey the world they envisaged for, uhm 2019. There is and only ever will be, exactly one Vangelis (although from what I understand there was some serious drama around the creation of the soundtrack).
Incidentally, in case I haven't mentioned it before : the game is... excellent (a word I'm using with considerable constraint). Even tinyE couldn't help buying the last amazon copy some weeks ago :)

More Math Fun :D
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure = Citizen Kane = The Godfather = The Greatest Movies Ever.
Fever_Discordia: I was actually agonising over whether I thought Brazil or 12 Monkeys was the best Terry Gilliam Sci-Fi film after I posted, to tell you the truth, so I recommend that one too, if you haven't seen it!
s23021536: Cool will do! :) A film weekend is way overdue - although the first thing that I'll go for (just because I promised myself) is 'Apocalypse Now' now that I've finished reading the book it drew inspiration from.

The Final Cut on blu-ray is THE version to watch. It's my demo disc for when I want to show off my system and just what blu-ray is capable of.
