Grargar: Carmageddon 1+2.
LaPtiteBete: Hi, furious parking rabbit !... Something like Painkiller ? :D
Arinielle: Depends on the person, I suppose.. But my hubby will go for the city-builder type of games when he needs a release and still use that energy positively.
I usually alternate between Diablo-type games for mindless fun that doesn't require thinking too much...just getting that aggression out as quick as possible.
Other times, I'll look to games that allow for more peaceful wandering around and gathering stuff, then building when I feel like it without anyone trying to tell me what I should be doing. This style is more new to me since I started playing Trove so I don't know what other games like it there are yet.
skimmie: Postal. Definitely Postal.
Or maybe Painkiller, Serious Sam 3, Shadow Warrior (I hear the 2013 version is quite good) or any other kind of Old-school, mindless shooter.
Thank you for the suggestions folks. I'm afraid that Grargrar's and LaPtiteBete's are more my speed than Arinielle's. Right now, I feel more like destroying things than building them, but thanks anyway.
Right now, I wish I had Postal 2, I let it slip in past sales. I do have Painkiller, so I will download and install it, and I'll keep an eye out for carmageddon when, or if it appears.
Right now, I very much miss The Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. It was an awesome game which featured an amazing amount (for the time) of destructible environment. Unfortunately, my original xbox is kinda dead and the game will forever remain a console one with no PC port. The prototype games are spiritual successors but they lack the massive presence and charisma of Marvel's jade-skinned angry titan.
moonshineshadow: When I want to get rid of agression I normally start some fighting games like Mortal Kombat or Tekken on my emulators :D Beating something up in a game can be really satisfying :D
I know, and I agree. Which makes it a pity that I suck so badly at fighting games.
Well maybe not so much at the original Mortal Kombat. Spam jumping high kick -> beat game. No, that's still sucking.
