innocuous77: That's the way to do it, honestly. When I was 'married' for 15 years (ok, we lived together, so no lawyers were involved at the end), we had the joint household account and individual accounts. His pay went into his individual account and mine went into mine. When bills were due, we plopped $ into the household account and paid them out of that. It took a bit of coordination, but if a relationship can't withstand money discussions, then why bother. We never once argued about money. (and yes, we argued about a LOT of other stuff, but not how the $ went).

Sorry - too much reality...I'm sorry.

Arinielle: That's how we have it planned out, actually. We have his account ( and soon have mine as well ) and a household account for all things like bills and money for groceries and medicines and such.

Tis okies. ^^
You're doing it right. Relationships and sharing and building lives are hard enough - no need to argue about something as silly as $. Like yelling at each other will make more:) (if it did, I'd be a bigger bitch... and rich)

FoxySage: I'm curious, where is your avatar from?
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Thanks everybody for your kind words :") wow... I feel happy, really.
It's just from... well. It has nothing to do with video games.
I used to have a comic blog where I posted my little drawings... telling my life ; I was an owl, my boyfriend was a wombat :) all of our friends have their animal. I wish I had more time to draw again... I miss it. Making this avatar was a breath of fresh air :))
so you also made the coffee picture yourself? That makes it even more awesome. I saved it on my pc since I liked it a lot.

What is this madness you speak of? -laughs-
I never said it wasn't madness...

LynetteC: I took my mum to see Steeleye Span in October and they're amazing musicians. Maddy still has the voice of an angel too. :-)

Stilton: When you connect with songs you grew up with, even decades later, its incredible how they can take you right back to a time, a place and a feeling. We've all experienced this, of course, but it never ceases to amaze me the power that ingrained mechanism has. Sometimes it can even surprise with its emotional intensity. The only other things I've found can do it (aside from photographs and home movies) are films and favourite TV programmes, but they don't have quite the same emotional precision or impact.
Music can be a very powerful thing, as well as it transcends language barriers.

There are some songs I love to sing because as you say, they remind me of certain times. Gypsies, Tramps and Theives was a favourite of my mum's and she always sang it when I was about 6 -7 years old. I sang it for her ata a gig once and joked as I introduced it that although it was a long time ago I remembered because her singing was that traumatic! I earned myself a clip round the ear for that one. lol

innocuous77: As an old person - make the time to do the things you love. Even if it's just 15 minutes. You'd be surprised how easy it is to find 15 minutes in a day.

And I totally want a new avatar out of this:) Something cat-related?
As another old person I 100% agree with this, life is for enjoying!
As to the cat avi, no thanks, dog person here. ;)

It's all madness. The trick is finding the right kind.

I wonder if I'll ever perform anywhere near you - sounds like you might enjoy quite a bit of my set. :-)
My internal clock is now set to 40 minute intervals. I instinctively know when the front page is within 2 minutes of changing over.
It's positively fucking scary! :O

Nah. We seem pretty chill on most things. Now and then he has behaviors that irk me but nothing serious. He's the one that's put up with a lot of my issues and helped me get the help I needed for several different issues.

We've so far only found that we can agree on playing World of Warcraft together... Most other games we have a different taste for so we're still on the lookout for anything we can play together that we'll both agree on. We want to play more games together but I hear that trying to introduce spouses to things like the Mario Kart series ruins relationships. :P

Stilton: You're very talented. I'm sure your wombat is very proud of you!
Thanks Stillton !!! :")
I don't know if he's still proud of me... when we met, he was ! ;)

FoxySage: Oh, original drawing. *blush* sorry about the mistake.

The style made it looks a bit similar to a comic i read as kid. Thought it might be an obscure Ducksburg character or something. Still really great. I find it really adorable. <3
Thank you very much FoxySage !
I wonder what is the comic you're talking about :)
I think I mainly draw my inspiration from a cuddly little owl I had when I was a kid... I found it again a few years ago, and it looks strangely familiar to me :) I remember this little guy is one of the first things I bought by myself.

Well, time to go to bed. Good night everybody ! see you tomorrow !! :-*

Don't get me wrong - I adore dogs. I'd have them if my life and yard were conducive to them.

Story... My parents were going to come to my neck of the woods for Thanksgiving (700 mile trip), so I ordered a rather large turkey in advance. They cancelled because their dog had to have leg surgery and needed daily rehab. So I sat there with a 19 lbs turkey and 4 cats. I kept looking at the size of the turkey and the size of my cats and wondered how the weight transfer would work...:) (hint - really fat cats)

My parents cancelled a trip because they didn't want to leave their dog's health to anyone else - and I'm great with that.

OK, I'm babbling and I don't even have the excuse that CC does...:)
