innocuous77: That's the way to do it, honestly. When I was 'married' for 15 years (ok, we lived together, so no lawyers were involved at the end), we had the joint household account and individual accounts. His pay went into his individual account and mine went into mine. When bills were due, we plopped $ into the household account and paid them out of that. It took a bit of coordination, but if a relationship can't withstand money discussions, then why bother. We never once argued about money. (and yes, we argued about a LOT of other stuff, but not how the $ went).

Arinielle: That's how we have it planned out, actually. We have his account ( and soon have mine as well ) and a household account for all things like bills and money for groceries and medicines and such. Sorry - too much reality...I'm sorry.
