CarrionCrow: You would think so. I get that some people can't hang around for Insomnia, but this has been a very, very, very slow-motion variant of Insomnia. Some of the same rules apply, only instead of missing out because of limited supply, you are a lot more likely to miss out because it's too slow and time-consuming to continuously monitor.
Niggles: you got to really wonder if they planned it this way....
What I wonder is if this will be seen as such a rousing success on absolutely every level that it'll be repeated verbatim. Seriously, if it wasn't for the community, the people here to talk with, I would've packed it in days ago.

madth3: Why would you need to monitor the sale? You just have the check GOG five times a day, for example.
You're right. Insomnia mentality on my part. It could be watched sporadically, and not miss anything. But dear gods, that feels extremely detached to me. I know, I'm weird. But I prefer constant engagement, rapid-fire. Energy levels are higher that way, more inclination to get hyper and do some serious damage to my wishlist.
Also, now that I think about it more, with the constant connection to it, the sale becomes an actual experience. People will go wherever when it comes to sales, in a lot of cases. Cheapest price wins. But if you want people to keep on coming back, day after day, year after year, sale or no sale, with a high level of interest, I think you need to produce events that allow for that kind of connection to be built.
It's like right now. My main thoughts regarding the sale are the people I sent stuff to. Well, that and being unfortunate enough to learn about the music videos of someone named Chainmale, who I learned about while trying to playfully torture my fellow forum-goers.
