Linko64: Why would you stick images for social media in either of those sections lol

Cavalary: They'd answer some frequent questions / complaints.
And, I mean, not necessarily those images themselves, but the information in them, which seems to be awfully difficult to include on the site for a very long time now...
If you honestly think a site is selling stuff illegally for so long then i don't think there's an image out there that can you help you mate. As for other points, can't say anything else will get a PM for advertising
Nice to see they've spruced the place up a bit, and great to get access to indicated Updates through that tab, and interesting to find most of their games that I have, had an update. Though it would be nice to know what the update is for.

Still waiting for the Sales though, as the prices for most of their games puts me off.

I've got a wishlist there, that just grows, never lessens. So right now they are missing out on a good few sales to me, and probably many others.

About once a week, I check what's available with the latest update of my checker program, which now has some more automation, but been a while since they've added anything new to the store, especially of anything significant.

ZOOM Checker (Windows only) - https://github.com/Twombs/ZOOM-Checker

You'd have to call the ZOOM Platform store a slow developer.
So slow, it is hard to get excited about it after the initial glee of finding another DRM-Free store, and grabbing a few games.
Wake me up if anything important happens there will ya.

Zoom has a lot of DRM-free things I haven't seen anywhere else. Granted, I haven't really looked anywhere else but I don't think I'd find them if I were to look.
where oh where did that last post go, oh where oh where can it be?
Postal III is "temporarily unavailable". Already delisted or just victim of the hype ?

Or neither.

Couple of users reported an issue, sales was stopped until its resolved. The fixes have been sent to the users effected, tested, confirmed working and an update will be released. Once updated version is live, sales will resume.

I'm not sure why everything needs to be a conspiracy around here. It could just be that we are looking after users, that once an issue is found that we don't want more people buying it until we know the issue can be resolved.

It's just strange to stop the sales when an issue is discover. GOG never did that, for example. But maybe it should ?

hey there, just asking because I wanted to buy that game several months ago and it's still not available: what about "Alien Trilogy"?

We don't want to sell something we know doesn't work (or in this case, seems to have issues on a small amount of configurations). It's also newly added, so makes sense to stop sales until its resolved (or even not resolvable - less people to refund and less people complaining).

Alien Trilogy is due to issues between the publisher and owner of some of the IP (Disney?). But that one is out of our hands at the moment.

P3 should be back up later today.

But if anyone has any questions, either send me a direct message or join the discord. Don't really want to talk here much, as likely to get banned. It's better to just ask than wild speculation - we are as transparent as possible.

It's strange for someone who is used to GOG-level customer service ;)

A couple of buyers reported issues and the main ZP tech guy has been working tirelessly to fix it (which it appears he has) and they removed it from sale in the meantime. He was communicating with the affected users the whole time through Discord, with them testing and trying out different things, all to help get it working.

Sounds like fantastic customer service to me! (I struggle to imagine GOG being that responsive to an issue like that ... )

Looks like there will be another new game coming very soon (besides Postal 3). It was teased on their Discord, but I won't leak the name until it is released. It's an older game that GOG hasn't got, which has ~1000 votes on the GOG wishlist. They said hopefully in the next week.

They are also working on some other very exciting things. I've seen screenshots that, if I told you about, they would probably have to kill me! XD

I don't, but plenty seem to, and also mix it with the other Zoom, so pointing out these things in a humorous manner on the site itself may help.

If "Zoom Platform" chooses to double-down on its very bad decision to share its name with a different company that makes a mega-popular product, that would only ensure that "Zoom Platform" continues never to be taken seriously and never to gain any substantial market share (that is, even "substantial" in terms of the very tiny niche market that comprises DRM-free).

On the contrary: if "Zoom Platform" purports to take itself seriously, then it needs to get it's act together, and revoke that very bad decision, and change its name to something unique and that is befitting of a serious & credible business (which right now, "Zoom Platform" doesn't come across as being...at all).

It also explains that the zoom community is still small and therefore provides some advantages like the proximity between the members of the company and the customers.

rjbuffchix: To anyone who has played, how is Alien Trilogy?
avatar
Mr.Mumbles: I've never played it, but I don't recall it getting anything other than mediocre scores back at the time of its original release. Age will not have done it any favors. I actually watched some gameplay footage not that long ago and I'll play AvP over this any day. AT just looks too rote and well kinda boring.
Thanks, yes I do have the AvP Gold from there since I read the other AvP version (which they also have) listed here on GOG had some sort of multiplayer DRM if I recall correctly. That's a fair point that it would be dated, though I like old games. I appreciate the link. I thought the facehugger was a cool effect but the gameplay does seem rather standard without much to stand out besides the enemies.

MartiusR: I've played it a bit (Zoom version), it's rather one of those "average" FPS games, a bit monotonous and with a bit clunky control (I had impression that the developer could not decide exactly if it game should be closer to Doom 1-2 or to Duke Nukem 3D, as a result it's in the middle, with more of Doom flavour). But it has some climax, it's challenging and gives some fun. I remember I've experienced surprisingly choppy framerate, but If I remember correctly, some time ago Zoom has uploaded updated installers, so perhaps this part was just the matter of DosBox configuration and now it's fixed.

If you wish, I can download the current version and try it to compare with my initial impressions.
Thank you, cheers. I do see more Doom in it than Duke from what I've checked out. No need to compare the current version, but that is kind of you to offer. I was only really thinking about the gameplay in particular, not as worried about the framerate/technical aspects. Zoom does seem good about updating stuff. I wonder how they do it...I thought we needed a client! :)
