Namur: My gaming machine is from April, 2015, at the time running w7. The migration folders tell me that it iterated to w10 on August, 2016. On the whole this OS install already outlived my cpu cooler which apparently, at best, has a life expectancy of 7 years. Yes, all same hardware shoved in there in 2015 except the replacement cpu cooler, a gpu upgrade swap and an added M.2. And, yes, running games every single day since April 2015.
brouer: You've had a Windows PC seeing regular use for 9+ years without a clean reinstall?
Colour me impressed. (No sarcasm.)
Mine is from 2016 (originally Win7, which I still have on another SSD) and only upgraded to Win10. Still running today. Only thing I changed out was air CPU cooler to liquid CPU cooler.
I still use the Win7 for gaming, though I should probably switch to Win10, but everything works and it's offline, so I guess I'm in no hurry lol.
.
Edit:
I did do a clean install of Win10 though, it seems I may have missed out on the free upgrade thing.

@OldFatGuy
As to the topic, yeah I noticed the update changed my desktop too and added a new search bar or something next to the start button, but I disabled that, was too wierd for me. But otherwise, I didn't really see much difference. But then again, I didn't look very hard. Anything big get added? (Btw, the title makes it sound like the desktop crashed or something lol)
