Any news or possibilities that it might be released here? We already have the license of D&D games here so why not this one?

Just because we have D&D games here, doesn't mean we'll get Sword Coast Legends, in the same way that just having Warhammer 40000: Chaos Gate doesn't mean we'll get the Dawn of War games here. You know, publishers and stuff.

As far as news are concerned, there are currently none.

So what are our chances?

Do we have more chance getting Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition than this?

Can't really say for sure, as I don't really see anything that would prevent a release here.

I'd give it better chances over Dragon Age, if only because EA doesn't seem to be willing to bring their modern stuff here as of yet.
Let's hope GOG's curation keeps this "game" out of our store. As a d&d fan, I must say it's an insult to the franchise. Head Start users are complaining about how the mechanics don't resemble anything we know as D&D, how it has serious optimization problems, how connection issues are present at every moment, how the DM mode is completely lackluster, etc. Just problems. And this was delayed a couple of weeks, but I really doubt they will be able to fix this game, which only looks as a huge piece of shovelware and not worthy of the D&D name at all.
I have mixed feelings about this game, partially because I didn't see much advertisement for it. What I wish to know is how the mechanics, the D&D Rules fare compared to the Infinity classics and how good the storytelling is.

The devs never mentioned GOG on the official website/forums but I hope GOG surprises us and it appears here. As a sucker for RPG's I'll buy it for sure somewhere down the road.

It doesn't look that terrible to me based on the gameplay footage i've seen, but that's not the best judge I admit. Are you a head start user and experienced these issues personally?

Steam sub-forums have so much barely legible raging and ranting with no real information that it's completely useless when deciding what to buy. I don't think anyone should take what's posted there seriously.

There's nothing resembling a D&D ruleset here.
The game plays like a standard hack and slash, and abilities must be "purchased". They also have cooldowns as well. The character progression has been streamlined, and spells don't play like D&D anymore (you have Cure Wounds 1, Cure Wounds 2, etc). Clerics don't have dominions anymore.
There's also level scaling, and it's downright offensive: you will be able to kill a dragon with a level 2 party. People who support this defend that atrocity, because it's supposed to be an "inclusive" game or something like that. Itemization, as a consequence, hs been fucked as well. You can start with vorpal blades and life stealing items right from the start, level 1 and all.
I don't know if this is going to have any sort of story mode, since the main focus has been the DM mode, and that seems to be very limited as well (for instance, the DM can't handplace loot in the game).
SCL is just a scam and screams shovelware, just like the Warhammer "games" we have been receiving recently.

Edit: and that's just the mechanics Technically the game is barely playable. Players report awful bugs, bad connection issues, CTDs, etc.

I usually avoid saying this, but "LOL". I don't really need a licensed game to stick slavishly to the tabletop rules, but damn. That's not just "not D&D", that's just idiotic.

Ah well, when it comes to RPGs I've yet to buy Wasteland 2, Original Sin and Shadowrun Hong Kong, and by the time I'm done with those Original SIn 2 will probably be out, so I really don't care that much about this game anyway.

The game uses quick cooldown system for spells and abilities. Hilarious and nothing resembling D&D in that department. Feel more like an action RPG than anything else so far.

Oy. There go my hopes for a good title in the franchise.

Anyway, does someone know about BG 1.5 or someother future D&D game, remake or new?

There is the upcoming Siege of Dragonspear, which will be in effect Baldur's Gate 1.5. It will take place between Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, you can import characters from Baldur's Gate 1 to it and once you finish it, you can export your character to Baldur's Gate 2. The problem is that it will require the Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate and won't be compatible with the older ones.

It's a DLC for the first BGEE actually. They had to release in that format because Wizards of the Coast won't allow new videogames with older D&D rulesets.
So its been released. Anyone actually got it and tried it out?

Or to paraphrase:
It's a DLC for the first BGEE actually. They had to release in that format because - theres no money is supporting those who have brought the originals (in some cases 6 or 7 times already).

The only Enhancement here is at their end, my suggestion go buy the original and whack a ton of mods on.
