Ganni1987: I have mixed feelings about this game, partially because I didn't see much advertisement for it. What I wish to know is how the mechanics, the D&D Rules fare compared to the Infinity classics and how good the storytelling is.
The devs never mentioned GOG on the official website/forums but I hope GOG surprises us and it appears here. As a sucker for RPG's I'll buy it for sure somewhere down the road.
There's nothing resembling a D&D ruleset here.
The game plays like a standard hack and slash, and abilities must be "purchased". They also have cooldowns as well. The character progression has been streamlined, and spells don't play like D&D anymore (you have Cure Wounds 1, Cure Wounds 2, etc). Clerics don't have dominions anymore.
There's also level scaling, and it's downright offensive: you will be able to kill a dragon with a level 2 party. People who support this defend that atrocity, because it's supposed to be an "inclusive" game or something like that. Itemization, as a consequence, hs been fucked as well. You can start with vorpal blades and life stealing items right from the start, level 1 and all.
I don't know if this is going to have any sort of story mode, since the main focus has been the DM mode, and that seems to be very limited as well (for instance, the DM can't handplace loot in the game).
SCL is just a scam and screams shovelware, just like the Warhammer "games" we have been receiving recently.
Edit: and that's just the mechanics Technically the game is barely playable. Players report awful bugs, bad connection issues, CTDs, etc.
