Pedetemptim: Awww, and I was hoping we'd start seeing GOG releases from bigger Japanese publishers. Maybe in another decade.
Ummm don't know if you're joking or not but we have gotten at least one official, relatively current Capcom release in "Dragon's Dogma". Additionally, while not anything Japanese yet, we have seen some release from EnixSquare, even if it's only from the Eidos back catalog there's still a chance.
I love having Falcom around as they're one of the serious Japanese RPG companies around, just very unknown in the West compared to Japan.
It would be nice if we'd get a solid bead on Atlus in my opinion but now that's up to Sega.

Oh and frankly I think it would be easier to bulk up the Eastern RPG's area by going after Korean developers. "Arcturus" is a 2D Action RPG in the vein of console style made by the people who did Ragnarok.
Pretty much the whole Softmax pack would be a HUGE boon for GOG as I don't know if there are even any online Korean shops that offer their franchises. I would be SO happy if we even got the cellphone game of "War Of Genesis". I mean I hope the code is around.
"Lair" is one of Korea's first RPG's apparently and is a no-brainer. It got a facelift for release on the Wiz(OLED handheld from one of the Gamepark companies) and is translated to English. I can tell you this for certainty as I owned both and lost them when I was on vacation in South Korea.

I was quite serious, but I guess I should have added "more" before GOG releases. I am very aware of Falcom. They're probably my favorite developer, in fact. What I'd like to see is more support from larger companies: more than Dragon's Dogma and a random Street Fighter game (it's not even the latest revision of Alpha!) from Capcom, more than a Swedish indie from Bandai Namco, some support from the Japanese side of Square Enix, some support from Sega (both Western and Japanese sides, in this case), and some support from Koei Tecmo.

Falcom is fantastic, but I can only replay Trails, Ys, and Xanadu games so many times. I'd love to see DRM-free Tales, Atelier, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Devil May Cry games. And yeah, Shin Megami Tensei would be a gift from YHVH, but that's currently not on PC at all.

You know the dumbest thing of it with Capcom is if they had collections of their old CPS1-3 on here or even individually they'd clean up. I mean the Neo-Geo games have done fairly well when they're competent ports here right?
The list of arcade games from some of these Japanese companies to name a few....Capcom "3 Worlds", "Warzard", "Aliens Vs. Predator"(shut up FOX/Disney money is on the table), "MSH Vs SF"(with the pervert), etc. Most of Taito's catalogue especially "Cadash". Sega's "Virtua Cop 3", "Planet Harrier". Irem would be worth chasing.
For Namco Bandai(I'm sorry but the new name sounds a bit off in English) in RPG how about giving everyone, even if ti's a limited pre-order, the Japanese limited edition of "Little Witch Academia" complete with the Radio Drama cd( I don't care if it's in Japanese, I want that perk).
As far as Atlus games go, well it looks like "Dragon Quest XI" is coming out on PC strangely enough.

But that surley is shutting down their Vancouver base to focus on Japan only? Also don't get me even started on Resident Evil 7.

Frankly I wasn't a big fan of Capcom's pandering to the Western audience with the "Dead Rising" series, especially with them saying they were going to put the kibosh on developing for the XBox 360 dev. if it sold poorly.
So I'm kinda sour about what Capcom Vancouver worked with in general. I don't mind Dead Rising but it's offense that Capcom didn't think that enough Westerners liked their Japanese style taste.
They might as well have spit in some Westerner's face. Some Westerners are completely Japanese in their gaming tastes.
Get Vancouver to work on the polish work, unless they worked on Darkstalkers.

I hear you. Theres alot of Eastern titles I want, but were never released here. I never got into Dead Rising but i'd of much rather had Deathsmiles 2 here (2 was Japan only.)
If the anniversary ends up coinciding with Thronebreaker release, i really hope the lack of a drm free tag on the gamecard page on a singleplayer game is an oversight. Otherwise the date will be an event changer on how i view gog.

If it's for a celebration shouldn't it be gog.com/party on dudes?

And where's all the hookers and booze? Hipsters and violins? I'm uh... unable to attend. Have to take a rain check.

That happened later when everyone was too drunk to hold a camera or phone.
