Darvond: Technology has changed a lot since the 1890s, from the death of the CRT to the explosion of keyboard mechanisms, there are a lot of sounds that are no longer here.

I miss certain hard drives, and the degassing of a CRT. What do you miss the sound of?

The ticking and chimes of old grandfather clocks, the "ka-chunk" chime sounds from Zenith Space Command remotes and the beeps and boops of a Big Trak.

Reminds me of this project. Sadly more of an idea than an actually cool website, the database is very limited, and I'm not even sure if the museum page offers other languages than German.

I had forgotten about the sound, but the movie iBoy made me remember it... One of my old cell phones would cause interference in speakers nearby. I'd know a good 15+ seconds before it actually rang that a call was coming in from that. The movie made use of it as part of its regular suite of effects.

Very nice. Sort of. I chose that era because around that time the sounds of the games became very distinct and I remember finding games by SONG at the time. Especially shumps and fighting games.

Well, 80s arcades would at most have small melodies, but in the 90s, yes you could safely find a machine by the OST.
