Transplanted my 17 days old tomato seedlings. I'm crazy to start tomatoes this early, but I hope it will stay warm this winter in my zone. Last year I started seeds in Jan, but by April it's already getting hot and the pest already came back. They will be delayed in growth this early, but maybe I can get a prolonged season.

What sort of tomatoes are they?

I pretty much only grow heirlooms, which are seeds that retain their traits years after years. I can develop their adaptability to my climate each generation as well. It's very difficult to grow them in Florida because of lots of pests, diseases and root knot nematodes. I guess it's not easy in Australia either with the fruit flies.

I prefer black or purple tomatoes, I grow very little red variety.
Today my laptop screen developed a third horizontal line running all the way across. Normally that would be an "aw, crap", but I've known for about a year now that the screen was having problems, and there's a custom laptop on order. Told the wife I ordered one - the big grin as I told her gave away my intentions, so she asked if it was top-of-the-line. Well, no, technically it's not. No complaints from her and she puts up with this expensive hobby as well as can be expected.

Though I wish I could get her interested in some sort of PC game... But failing that, I guess I can't ask for a better reaction from a non-gaming wife.

That's awesome, I used to love growing them.

Taste so much better than the commercial ones, nothing like a good homegrown tomato or strawberry.

There are areas of Oz that are free of them, but they're one of the reasons I stopped growing fruit and veggies.

I used to have awesome guava trees which would crop bucketloads of fruit and every single one would have maggots.

My mango trees would get fungus and my tomatoes attacked by cabbage fly, so in the end I just gave it all up.

Pic of Jake waiting outside the shower for me.

He keeps a lookout while I'm showering in case there's perverts and miscreants trying to spy on me.

I love denture cleaning tablets.

My toilet bowl had rust and mineral stains that looked awful and no amount of scrubbing or products would remove them.

Placed 4 denture cleaning tabs and left overnight, toilet now looks like new.

Thank you to all dentists.
I'm drinking grape kombucha, it's like grape drink without the sugar guilt.

Do you consume it while sitting around a fireplace and singing kumbaya?
Eh no, just watched MotoGP qualifying, now watching F1 qualifying.

I would like to watch it with you and drink kombucha.

MAJOR EDIT: After reading that again, it sounded a bit gay.

As beautiful and sensual as your hands are, they're just not my type, so don't take it the wrong way.
