I think Psyringe just won the entire thread...

Also: WTF?!
Leather Goddesses of Phobos?

Psyringe: I just fired up the game and started to enter these commands. The result after the third command was this: (After that, the situation takes a turn for the worse, but I can't spoil everything can I? ;) ).
Examine cathy, fuck bed, eat pizza, quit game

Is it Big Day Out?

OK here's the next game.
My guess would be Girlfriend Construction Set, but really it could've been any of a gazillion interactive fiction games. I hope you enjoy your extra inch of e-peen for winning a round.

Erm - what's that?

Last time SimonG was telling me "a day with no reply is nothing", and now you all are giving up so soon and make strange remarks about e-peen? I thought this game was about having together.

Anyway, I was quite ready to give hints if required and had some prepared. I've seen no provision in the game's rules that it's simply "over" after a while, otherwise I would have given a hint earlier.

Also, it really couldn't have been any text game based on the content and the way it's described. Imho, the game is quite unique for its approach, that's why I chose it. Girlfriend Construction Set is a pretty good guess though, probably the closest one so far. :)

So, how do we proceed now?

Psyringe: -- SNIP --
A lot of people agree that if it takes more than 24 hours another game should be picked, I'm one of them. This keeps the game fast and loose and allows everybody to have a shot, instead of the game dying because someone posts something nobody will ever get.
The 24 hours gives all timezones a chance to react and the original poster a chance to confirm a correct answer without the game dragging on.
It wasn't meant as an attack.
The e-peen thing is just a gag (as in joke) because there is nothing anyone can 'win' in this game except perhaps for online respect ;)
Humm. So in that case SimonG's remark that "a day is nothing" from last time would have been wrong? I also don't really understand who the one's determined who then carries on. I had expected that before a single person abruptly declares this session over and starts a new one, there would have been a request for a hint (which would keep the game going as well), as I saw such hints earlier in the thread. I'm confused now, as the information from you and from SimonG seems to contradict each other.

It's a bit sad since I'm pretty sure that you would have found the answer if you just actually _had_ mentioned the Girlfriend Construction Set. As far as I can tell, this is really the only other game that ever tried a mature/serious approach on a dating sim (or something similar). Googling for games mentioned together with that one might have yielded the answer.

Anyway ... I'll leave it to the others whether they want a hint about the game I posted, or whether they are interested in the solution, or whether they simply want to forget about it. Your choice. :)

SpirlaStairs: Dog's life?
That depends, is that your guess for Psyringes text adventure?
Because that would be wrong.
If it's for my screenshot, yes that is Dog's Life for the PS2.
yeah I was guessing on your game :P

Anyway, I don't know if you're going to keep guessing on Psyringe's game but I'll post my screenshot anyway.

Don't worry, I certainly don't want to block the game for people who want to have fun. :) I just thought that maybe someone was having fun tracking down the game I posted, so I'll check the thread for a while for people who are curious which game that actually was. :)

I don't quite know how to Google for something "like" the search terms. =\ Anything like "Games like "Girlfriend Construction Set"" just seems to lead to modern dating sims. If anywhere in the search terms you include "Cathy" you just get flooded with hits from Atlus' new game "Catherine". Especially if you include "Dating Sim" in the search terms.

Definately Dog's Life, but that's already been said now.

EDIT: Apparently when I refreshed the page it didn't alert me to a new page being formed.
