... back to Psyringe's puzzle... I feel quite dirty after browsing through some of the adult IF out there. Could it be "The Reunion"?

Shadrouge: I don't quite know how to Google for something "like" the search terms. =\ Anything like "Games like "Girlfriend Construction Set"" just seems to lead to modern dating sims. If anywhere in the search terms you include "Cathy" you just get flooded with hits from Atlus' new game "Catherine". Especially if you include "Dating Sim" in the search terms.
Including Cathy is definitely the wrong track, she's just one of several girls/guys in the game (but one that shows the style of writing very well, so I chose her scene). However, another combination of the words you mentioned yields the title of "my" game on the very first page of Google results. Don't give up, you're very close now. :)

No, never heard of that one.

Btw, one peculiarity of "my" game was that it was actually rather tame (albeit direct) in its style of writing, and even educative at times. AFAICT it wasn't specifically labeled as a mature game either (I got my copy from a bargain bin at Woolworth's, of all places. ;) ). It was basically an attempt to write an "honest" mature game that allowed players to "experience" several very different erotic situations that could actually happen (as opposed to juvenile fantasies that make up a lot of other "mature" games - isn't odd that the games labeled as "mature" can sometimes be the most juvenile? ;) ).

Yes!!! We have a winner! :)

(... and one that seems to have the gift of precognition, as he posted his screenshot already several posts above. ;) ).

"Romantic Encounters at the Dome", released by MicroIllusions in 1987, was a game written by a Californian psychologist and his wife. As said, it tried to let players experience different erotic situations (that happen around a nightclub, the "dome") that could actually happen, instead of describing idealized fantasies. It also included several "sex tests" that were meant to educate the players (see the second screenshot I posted). The game achieved that due to rather good writing, but as an actual _game_ it failed, mostly due to the atrocious parser. As far as I know, the game is pretty unique in its approach, and few people even know it - although it was released and sold in just the same way as other adventures of this period (as I said, I got my copy from Woolworth).

So, the game continues now with SpirlaStairs' screenshot in post #7128. :)

SpirlaStairs: yeah I was guessing on your game :P

Anyway, I don't know if you're going to keep guessing on Psyringe's game but I'll post my screenshot anyway.
Seems to be "Grand Knights History"?

You are correct
Am I meant to upload one now?

Almost every other screenshot of this had some name attached that was easily google-able.

EDIT: I have to go for many hours so just skip this one if the game is still going, unless anybody is 100% positive about it that they don't need confirmation.

And there was me thinking the plot was about to take a turn for the the bizarre and branch into Sc-Fi/Horror terriory - me and my imagination!
Looks like Dragon Quest... Maybe number 8?

No, Toriyama's style looks a lot different.
Everything he does looks like Dragonball (which makes sense).

Well unless I'm wrong, in which case it was obviously his style.

SpirlaStairs, I think you can continue with the next screenshot. Shadrogue said that he would be away for some time, and your answer is definitely correct (the exact screenshot appears in a Google image search for the game you mentioned). :)
