Sorry, but I would quibble on your definition of 'censorship'. If you're preventing posts or retrospectively deleting them, you are censoring them. You're not necessarily wrong in doing so, but it's totally censorship - wikipedia link provided because you're too stupid to look that up (sarcasm :) - I'm just sourcing definitions for my argument).

There's lots of other examples, preventing publication of child pornography is censorship, few would debate the morality of that. Personally I'm totally with your new rules, and I like what you're doing here. It's censorship and I like it.

I feel sorry if she left for beeing harrased, never a nice thing on forum that should be around games, and having fun.

Reading the post where she explained why is using this writing style, it seems to me that it is her willing choice.

We need to admit that, on a medium that is only written, using an excessive style, like Fairfox, could be ... problematic.


True is, that there is worse on these forums that Fairfox writing style, that is tollerated.

If GOG staff wants to start applying the rules, perhaps there are other priorities?

She indeed does. Threads about games. On a forum about games.

Whatever the story, I hope Fairfox is doing alright. I hope ALL of us are doing alright. We all have some sort of issues to deal with, and for some those issues are overwhelming. Games can be a welcome temporary escape, and I'd like to think that's partly why we're here: to enjoy and talk about this thing that is sometimes more than a hobby. It can't be easy to try to spark discussions of our hobby / coping mechanism and be constantly told "You're talking about games wrong."

Here we go again. I simply post my opinion (which might be my own and maybe that of a minority) and people dowmvote me. This way a normal discussion is simply not possible whenever you don't have the majority behind you. Maybe one day when all of you kids have finally grown up I might participate in any controversial discussion again but for now I simply decided to not participate in any of those discussions here on GOG ever again. Sure that's probably also my fault and I am probably also anti social. But if logical and objective argumentation is also anti social and deserves to be downvoted then I am proud to be anti social.
