Played a bit of Hollow Knight on my new laptop.

While playing it, the battery seemed to drain rather quickly. (Will leaving the laptop plugged in all the time hurt the battery?)
Bougth Borderlands 3, Death Stranding and Marvels.

Next hype destination Diablo 4!

I'm still playing Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Finished the Mecc Campaign. The last mission was ultra-tedious, took me two hours...wasn't really difficult, but due to the stupid base building mechanics it took forever. Baffles me why they included that in the campaign, the short missions before were much more fun.
Now I'm going to try the 2nd campaign.
Currently playing Battlechasers: Nightwar. Been a fan of Joe Mad since his stint at Marvel Comics. Loving the game so far. Cannot wait for Ruined King: A League of Legends Story which is currently being developed by the same company.

Yes, somehow it does, at least that's how it was with my old laptop. I never understood why the charging is not just stopped, but in the end my laptop battery lasted like 2 minutes...

Anyhow, on topic: playing Heretic for the first time with GZDoom and this fantastic texture pack: https://www.nexusmods.com/hereticshadowoftheserpentriders/mods/1?tab=description

I just dig old graphics with super clean textures and this pack looks great.
Back on Genesis Alpha One. It's a bit jank and it's still not balanced to offer an even challenge, but there's just something about the gameplay loop that keeps me coming back. I don't know of any other games like it.

Trying to get into Scythe Digital Edition. Not used to board games, but I'd really like to get into asymmetrical turn-based PVP.
just tried out Immortals fenyx rising , clearly not for me.
Looks like an assassin creed Odyssey with a touch to make it more kid friendly

Thank you for mentioning this game. :D
Looks great, they don't mention gog. Could still release here, but I'll just get it for PS4 anyway.

Oh, Riot Games is the publisher, a gog release probably is unlikely. Too bad their talent is wasted on a game with LOL-lore. :/

I kind of like League's lore and the setting for this game happens to be one of my favorites.

I'm just thinking about what Madureira and the team could come up with if they didn't have to follow the rules of an existing franchise. :(
Battlechasers at least was something Madureira worked on from the beginning.

Maybe their next game will be an original IP. :/

Really liked Genesis as well. The atmosphere was over the top awesome - the game screamed '80s era Alien sci-fi and the sounds of walking the ship, clacking away at keyboards, door to the dropship slamming shut etc were perfect.

And like you said, something about the gameplay loop, as simple as it could be just worked. Loved tapping away at scanner controls or maybe taking five minutes to do a quick security check of the ship.
Shadows: Awakening. 2nd playthrough with a different character to see the different story.
Probably won't play the last 3rd character as he seems pretty uninteresting story-wise.

Then I'll probably start Hexen II. Been a looooong time since I last played it. Great opportunity to finish it as something else than Crusader.

He also came up with Darksiders which is also one of my favorite IPs. As a fan of Joe Mad, I hope his company succeeds so they can come up with original IPs. I also want him to be more involved with future Darksider games. DS 3 was a good effort but was missing that Joe Mad touch.
Playing the Delphi campaign in Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Just finished the three Reaperski races, wasn't as bad as I had expected. But the base-building missions in this game are just ultra-tedious, wish they had left them out, because it's much better as a pure action game in short segments.
Got back to Cyberpunk 2077, it's actually fun, once I stopped seeing the game as an RPG, but an action-open-world-shooter I had fun...most of the time.

The world is hollow, but there are many interesting and sympathetic characters. The dialogue is way too edgy at times, but it's not the default luckily.

I bullrushed to the ending and I have to say that I didn't quite like it, but that's all I'll say regarding that.

Sadly the game lacks weapon variety, but a few are pretty neat, I went melee for 60% of the time. The rest was me using a high caliber sniper rifle and an auto shotgun.

The game is buggy and a lot of the bugs are inexcuable, but once those have been patched Cyberpunk is going to be a good game, at times it's even great.

Now I'm at the second, not rushed playthrough.

I also got back to playing Yakuza 7 which would be my Game of the Year pick for 2020.
