N00B at that kind of games as I have never played anything like them (DOS FPS). Teaching my right hand to move like needed in those games would take serious training at my age. Not sure I have the interest when there are so many games I enjoy as is. Give my right hand a mouse or a joystick and I am skilled though.
I'm the exact opposite. I have never used joysticks or console controllers, so I can hardly fathom using them to play. I'm highly dependent on the keyboard, which is strange because I suck at remembering hotkeys.
toxicTom: They're not complicated. More like "Hold mouse button, left-right-forward (A, D, W), release mouse" iirc.
Thank goodness for WASD. When I first started playing the Build engine games, I used either the arrow keys or mouse movements to move. WASD was perfect, especially since A and D made strafing a breeze.
