Loaded TES: Arena and got the Ebony Blade for my Knight. Things didn't go as smoothly as they should have:

Attempt 1: The map in the dungeon took me to a dungeon that had only 1 level (instead of 4) and no Ebony Blade.

Attempt 2: The dungeon name in the quest log didn't match; the actual dungeon name seemed to have been truncated. Fortunately, I was able to get the Ebony Blade.

The Ebony Blade seems to be a rather nice weapon; it heals you slightly when it hits, and it can be used to cast a more powerful version of Lifesteal.. Knights have the advantage of automatically repairing it over time (though the repair is slow, so don't rely solely on it in a long main quest dungeon, but it will be nicely repaired when you fast travel).

I think I will start a new Nightblade, but I am considering playing with the self-imposed rule of not changing the decay rate of Fortify effects. (You can reduce the cost of Fortify Attribute effects by a factor of 10 by making the stat return to normal once the spell wears off faster; the effect on the spell is minor, but the effect on the cost is enormous.)

amund: Playing the Elite Force mod for SWAT 4. It's a bit buggy and have some issues but it's pretty nice. v4 should be out soon and that seems to fix most of the issues.
I'm playing this too. And I like it very much but I often got the problem that a SWAT-member gets lost or stuck somewhere and if you order your other members for example to "Open and Clear" a room they stack up in front of the door but won't do anything because they are waiting for the missing member who won't come in his position.

Babysitting the AI is a bit of a pain. I was testing v4 last night and even if the AI gets distracted they seemed to ignore orders less at least. Entering rooms also felt smoother, they didn't get stuck but haven't tested it very much. Sometimes I tell them to deploy like CS and then a few seconds later tell them to move in and clear. That often worked better for me.

You can get the v4 on GitHub: https://github.com/eezstreet/SWATEliteForce

Thanks
I've been playing Victor Vran off and on. I got it as a bonus in the big sale a while back. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to stick with it. I appreciate that although it has a somewhat more involved control scheme, I've just never been into these Diablo-clones. Run around the map, whittle down hordes of monsters, pick up loot that's basically the same stuff over and over with slight variations...I think Torchlight was the last one I tried and I wasn't able to finish that one, either.

I like this game's style but I think maybe it's not for me.

I can really relate to that. I try the odd ARPG/Diablo-like once in a while and it's fun for a while, but on the long run I always feel kind of empty and like I'm wasting my time...

Games I didn't finish:
Diablo 1+2
Torchlight
Divine Divinity
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
...

I finished Diablo 1 way, way back, and also Divine Divinity. But now I can't seem to finish hack and slash games. Torchlight was a yawnfest for me. I'm hoping Victor Vran will be a different experience, but judging from what I'm reading here, likely not. Although, if I get a few hours of fun out of it, then it's all good.

Skyrim is entertaining me enough right now though.

I had finished the MQ and that Vampire DLC with a heavily modded Skyrim a while ago. Kind of died on me after 400 hours when I was into Dragonborn DLC... ;-)

I never got sick of a TES game before, but I guess at 400 hours for 20€ (Legendary Edition) I really can't complain...
I finished Diablo once back when it was first released. Tried to play it again years later and couldn't finish it.

I like Divine Divinity because although its combat is clearly inspired by Diablo's, it generally feels more like a traditional RPG with real quests for you to do, characters to interact with, and such.

Wow, that's more than your money's worth, IMO. I actually already clocked about 130 hours when the game was first released. Decided to start again when they released the special edition (modded, of course).

I must admit that I really enjoy "walking simulation" in games like that, and this really racks up playing hours: I only use quicktravel for re-arranging the inventory of my homes. Otherwise I use only in-game travelling means. I extensively used the "scenic carts" mod for instance (although I often - not always - used the "take a nap" option.

Same with Witcher 3 - I only used quicktravel to switch between areas (only option...), and I've never regretted it. On the contrary, it really amazing that you often can find little (follow-up) quests or treasures by travelling "manually" and just keep an eye on the surroundings.

Yeah, I really like exploring as much of the map as I can access, although I'm not quite as dedicated as you are. I'll use fast travel to places where I've gone over the intervening terrain. Otherwise, I walk/ride.
Still playing TES: Arena with my Nightblade (level 4 at the moment). My character is travelling Morrowind (the province, not the game), taking notes on the magic items for sale at each branch of the Mage's Guild (the only guild confirmed to actually exist in the game), and engaging in, well, "borrowing" some of them. (If she gets caught, she just uses the power of "ye olde disk" to rewind time; she also did that the one time she stole the entire inventory and tried to buy a spell, causing space-time to collapse.)

By the way, since some people are mentioning fast travel, I should point out that, in Arena, fast travel is *mandatory*. You *can't* reach the next town over without using fast travel; it's impossible.

(In Daggerfall, fast travel isn't mandatory, but the wilderness is so vast and barren that I would recommend not trying to travel manually; better fast travel and get to the interesting parts.)
Ended up getting the Namco Bundle. $1 for Enslaved was enough for me to buy it. I wasn't really impressed with Heavenly Sword or DmC: Devil May Cry (bought the Definitive Edition but haven't gotten around to trying it yet), but eh...curious to see how this one fares.

Playing through PAC-MAN 256 right now, and it's a nice game overall.
Darksiders 2 is much more fun than what I remember Darksiders 1 being. Not as much tedious platforming and other console specific design decisions/trends, like the awkward way of selecting a health potion in the heat of battle. In Darksiders 1 you needed to open a radial menu by holding down a key and then rotate the menu until a health item was selected and then press the "use item" key. Darksiders 2 has health potions bound to "1" on the keyboard.
