Loaded TES: Arena and got the Ebony Blade for my Knight. Things didn't go as smoothly as they should have:
Attempt 1: The map in the dungeon took me to a dungeon that had only 1 level (instead of 4) and no Ebony Blade.
Attempt 2: The dungeon name in the quest log didn't match; the actual dungeon name seemed to have been truncated. Fortunately, I was able to get the Ebony Blade.
The Ebony Blade seems to be a rather nice weapon; it heals you slightly when it hits, and it can be used to cast a more powerful version of Lifesteal.. Knights have the advantage of automatically repairing it over time (though the repair is slow, so don't rely solely on it in a long main quest dungeon, but it will be nicely repaired when you fast travel).
I think I will start a new Nightblade, but I am considering playing with the self-imposed rule of not changing the decay rate of Fortify effects. (You can reduce the cost of Fortify Attribute effects by a factor of 10 by making the stat return to normal once the spell wears off faster; the effect on the spell is minor, but the effect on the cost is enormous.)
