Currently having fun in Rift.
Finished up Deus Ex a few nights ago (fantastic game!) and tried to start a couple others, notably Syndicate (didn't trip my trigger, as it were) and Magic Carpet (forgot how fun it was, and stupid fscking bees!). Neither captured my attention enough to play again last night.

Stared at the shelf for 10 minutes, discovered that I forgot to buy the Infinity Engine games (BG1&2, ID1&2), and figured I'd see for myself the big deal with The Witcher.

Looked pretty cool until it crashed about 3 minutes into the first set of fights. Guess I have some troubleshooting to do...
Spellforce.
My last two days of trial month for FF XIV a Realm Reborn, i really enjoyed it, leaving it at level 40 monk for now and a while because of serious backlog but the game is great.. Only downsides i could mention are :

- no bag auto-sorting
- very, very lacking teaming auto-search
- few quests worth the read beside the main one

I can only promote the game you get for about 20$ and a good month of trial.to decide a renewal or not. Special credits to the Final Fantasy lore,.It's not as deep as WoW but this one has a decade of experience ahead. Here it is to its roots as it should with Magitek, chocobos, classes / jobs, pampas of course, the summons, the overall design. The engine is very nice too, constant framerate from 40 to 60 on high desktop setting and i don't have a beast (i3 2120 & GTX 560 Ti) .. Bottom line, very pleased and i may get a month someday next year again, but damn, that backlog..
waking mars, loving it
Set down System Shock due to work and now it is hard to get back into. So, now I decided to dust off my favorite, Baldur's Gate, and have a run through. Yeah, like I will really have the time to even get to the City. Well, So far so good.
Baldur's Gate 2 + Throne of Baal: decided to enter the Watcher's Keep at this point (which is apparently a new place integrated from the ToB expansion pack), currently on the fourth(?) level. Just ended the Maze level.

Dang, they weren't kidding when they said there are some very hard encounters in here. Earlier I thought my paladin tank with his kickass armor, Garsomyr +5 two-handed sword, regenerating health and high levels is pretty much unstoppable at this point (even alone, let alone with the rest of the party backing him up), and only laughs at all those spells and blows hurled towards him. But Watcher's Keep made me humble again.

I must say it is a _very_ good idea to have some health regeneration items at least on your fighter types, as there are many rooms where you can't use magic at all, e.g. healing spells. And on top of that be stacked up with lots of health potions.

Especially the encounters where the room is full of traps while you try to fight an enemy horde are very tricky. Fighting the Demon Wraith was a real bitch due to the traps, especially if you wanted to kill as few of the Slave Wraiths as possible, in order to free them when you kill their master (and you get 5000 experience points for each freed slave, not the killed ones). In the end, I was able to kill the Demon Wraith without killing any of the slaves, but I did have to fight/hurt some of them. Fortunately they lasted long enough for me to kill the damn Demon Wraith.

Giving Arkham City a try.

Very early on and I'm trying to figure out these training stunts... about 50 tries on flying through that tunnel after a straight drop and I'm not even close to getting the last marker. This isn't part of the proper game, but my OCD isn't letting me move on.

Early on, I'm likely the asylum better so far, so I'm really hoping this picks up as many have led me to believe that City is the better game.
Beyond Two Souls (PS3 exclusive), pretty good so far, not a lot of gameplay but a pretty engaging story to drive you forward....most of the time .... as it tends to be less than straight forward chronologically.
Grim Dawn Beta.

Good stuff so far.
AI War

Dominions 4

and occasionally Don't Starve
4 Elements. Enjoying it so far.
Resident Evil 6 (PC).

FInished Leon's campaign recently - which was awesome.
Currently on Chris Redfield's campaign.

Dunno how it works on PC, on the 360 you couldn't play Ada until the last, but I think they patched it so you could play her from the start.

I would suggest you don't play her until last as it will expose too much plot too early :)
