Five bundles of timeless masterpieces.

Once upon a time, in a digital distribution platform not so far away, a legendary sale began…
It had Jedi and monkeys, dogfights and talking dogs, space cowboys and fedora-clad archeologists.
It ain't no fairytale, either: the Disney Completion Sale is very much a reality, so gather round and let's see what it's all about!

We've broken up this impressive catalog into five thematic bundles: Intergalactic heroes can complete the STAR WARS Blaster Bundle for 70% off or grab individual titles like X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter and Rogue Squadron 3D for 50% off. Then force-leap towards the STAR WARS Saber Bundle for a 77% completion discount or pick out masterpieces like KOTOR or Jedi Knight Academy for 60% off each.

If pointing and clicking is more your thing, make sure to add some Classic LucasFilm Adventures to your inventory: Sam & Max Hit the Road, LOOM, Monkey Island SE, and more - each is 60% off but get them in a bundle and you're looking at a whopping 75% off.

For some additional Disney Variety check out TRON 2.0, Armed & Dangerous, Outlaws, and the rest, going for -60% each or -75% as a bundle. Last but not least, don't forget to reach for the Iconic Movie Platformers who go for -30% each or -50% when bought all together.

The Disney Completion Sale will last until October 9, 10 PM UTC.

muntdefems: Have you actually checked the discount with a calculator? (or mentally, dunno about your mental calculation prowess :P)

Most of the time (it happened to me earlier today, for instance) the discount is something like 76.96% but GOG's website code must convert the value to an integer and they end up getting complaints from their customers about it.

Of course, if they used a rounding function I'm pretty sure they'd then get complaints from people complaining that they are being scammed a few hundreths of a percent in their discounts. :P
I'm sure (regional) price-wise it's accurate, but sheesh their webdevs are terrible.

JMich: This is the 5th bundle of the current Disney sale, not a different sale.
OK, thanks for the correction.
I have most of these games except for the lion king, aladdin and jungle book bundle. Why pray tell, are these games 4 pounds each?

Leroux: Why are the Variety Bundle games not advertised on the front page? I almost missed that Tron 2.0 is on sale with a fair discount for a change and thought this was just about all those Star Wars games and overpriced platformers ...
It is...it's just a little lower down, on the right side, where it says "Latest Deal(s)".

Ah, you're right. But that's not the quite same. It's part of the Disney Sale, so it should be treated the same as the other bundles. Especially since it seems to me that it's the more attractive offer, since I believe the other Disney games have been on sale for similar prices already. We already had several Star Wars and LucasArts adventure game bundle sales, IIRC, but the discounts on the fifth, rather inconspicously displayed bundle are a first.

Disney way overcharging.
I;m going to pass on these as well. Checking previous sales, they've been listed for lower. Granted it;s only a buck or two but for some of us, that's still a good chunk of money.

I couldn;t get my local source who adds money to my account when I hand her the cash to do so either so I guess it's moot.

I'm so stupid. I didn't realise Tron 2.0 was part of a bundle sale. I bought it at the 60% off base price and after noticed it was part of a larger deal group that would have made it about $2 cheaper. I guess it isn't a huge loss, though would have bought a snack for the cinema tomorrow (not a snack bought in the cinema, that would require a lot more $$ ;)

If you have not download it, refund it.
And regrab it in the bundle.
I'm interested in Tron 2.0, as I've heard it mentioned so many times, and the bundle with the completion bonus is a great opportunity, but Stunt Island at 2.49(9.99) is so off putting. I don't think I would be getting this bundle even if Stunt Island was 1.49.

Such a shame

From what I can see there are 2 types of GOG bundle sales:

▪️ when you buy a whole bundle, you've got really low-priced games and it's often worth to purchase even some titles you actually don't want to buy, because a discount makes a whole deal interesting (for me the last time it was Dungeon & Dragons bundle a few months ago)

▪️ when they make us to buy a whole bundle just to get a regular discount for bundled games (a price which was easily reached without any bundle before) and removing any game from a chart makes the rest of games expensive

And this sale is the second one.

Assuming it is a manual process via support to do that. Actually I just looked at the bundle and realised I would have had to buy a few other games to get the lower price and really I'm just not that interested in them so probably just as well I bought it without seeing the bundle. No temptation to end up paying more and not actually needing the games.

Preach!
Tron 2.0 has been bought
Yeah, these kinds of sales are a huge turn-off for me as a consumer. I would have purchased 7 games from these bundles if the bigger discount applied without having to buy all games. Instead, I bought 0. Not that I feel owed or entitled to any discount at all mind you, but I'm not going to watch the price go up on the games I want just because I uncheck the games I don't want. A more consumer-friendly option would have been to let us choose x amount of Disney games from any of the bundles to receive the larger discount.

All of these Disney games that I want are games I have purchased so many times in the past, that I'm just not willing to buy them for anything less than 75% off. They are incredible games of course, but I'm interested in owning them for digital collection purposes moreso than for actual playing. Tie Fighter for example, I think I purchased a total of 5 times since its original release. I actually still have the first-release boxed version with 3.5" floppies as well as the CD-ROM collector's edition. But yeah, I'm just not interested in paying 4.99 for some of these games even though they're well worth that to someone who's never played them before.
