The inability to resell a game doens't hamper the use of your product, it hampers your rights as a consumer to resell that product, and that's a different ball game, but i agree that it's an important issue that probably should be factored in into every DRM discussion and more often than not it isn't. If you factor that one in, then there's no such thing as DRM free, if you don't factor it in, then DRM free means gog.
I don't get that one about the browser, and i don't see what is has to do with anything. If you're trying to pass the download via browser as DRM on a digital distribution platform, please, gimme a break.

Poland is under no obligation to comply with US copyright law. They are not breaking it. The very suggestion is absurd. Don't like it? Don't buy another game from a digital distribution platform outside the US. Although you might want to not that the US digital distribution platforms pay no more attention to that law.

It doesn't manage anything, there is nothing in the game itself preventing from reselling the game should want to.
If you buy an old Vinyl LP disk it's written everywhere "don't make illegal copy of this disk", do you consider that as a DRM just because it limit your right of making copy of it ?

Yes, and I'm by no means bound to not re-sell my games. (possible if I were to say, buy each game on a separate account and sell the accounts) Not that I am advocating this, I actually have no intent of re-selling, since I like to hoard things, it's just that gog could not legally sue me for such an action unless I were to go to Poland.

It's worth pointing out that you can't actually resell accounts unless given permission to do so. That goes for the vast majority of gaming accounts.

See, I have the right to re-sell any software, and if the ONLY way to sell all my copies of it is to sell my account then I have the right to sell my account since it is one of the copies of the software, see how that works?
EDIT: and in Canada you have to sell either all or none of the copies, so I legally have to be able to sell the game tied to my account.

No, because vinyl LP's are analogue, not digital. But you still do have the right to copy an LP in Canada.

Also, you know, you don't have the right to make illegal copies of anything, because they're illegal, note it says "Do not make illegal copies of this disk" not: "do not make any copies of this disk" so it doesn't manage your rights in any way, you can make legal copies to your heart's content.

Wow. I really don't ever want to see Gundato say something along the lines of...
"DRM," "buzzword," "I'm only saying GOG is DRM to prove a point," or "this isn't really that big of a deal but I make the point every time the topic comes up, completely destroying the discussion," ever again.
