snowkatt: seriously
7 months later the platform sold less then half a million units
showcasing that there is absolutely no demand or interest in the product
it might even be lower
because the half a million number is the number of steam controller sold and these include the controllers packaged with every steam machine sold
these arent exactly numbers that will set the world alight
or for that matter worry windows or even mac os X
will valve kil this thing quietly or wil they stubbornly continue pushing it ?

The phrase from the article "a solution in search of a problem" sums it up well. After all those years and all that money Valve spent developing, prototyping, and refining controllers, one would think they would have at least had a good controller for Steam Machines. But instead, the controller is probably one of the things which has been criticized the most. I wish Valve would devote a larger percentage of their resources to actually making video games!
