ET3D: Well, for physical games you did own the copy, which you don't with digital games. You had the right to sell that copy for profit. With digital, either GOG or Steam, you don't have the right to sell the copy. In this respect digital lost an important aspect of ownership. Still, on GOG you have more benefits of ownership than on Steam, because you have more freedom of use for your copy.

We need clear legal protection for digital ownership. until that happens companies can choose what ever restrictions they want.
