Fever_Discordia: Funny thing about the early C&C games is that they were made freeware at one point for to celebrate the anniversary and / or release of one of the newer C&Cs at one point, but it now seems unclear as to whether EA intended to only make them freeware for a limited time or permanently - EA no longer hosts freeware downloads of them but other, otherwise legit sites do, not sure if that's just an oversight though...
Either way, maybe EA thinks that someone as high profile as GOG hosting the early ones for free would hurt sales of the packs they sell but GOG doesn't want to just sell the packs as it seems a bit of a con
Well, from my point at least, GOG would benefit at least from having those games here in
some fashion; so many thousands of wishlist votes suggests to me sales would be quite good -
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#order=votes_total&search=command - or even if the first C&C game appears here are freeware, it could bring in new customers.
Wikipedia says that
Command & Conquer (1995) and
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun (1999) are the two freeware games. So maybe, since the 1995 game + addons are DOS and presumably compatible with DOSBox, they could appear here as freebies.
Then maybe
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun +
Firestorm expansion +
Renegade could come here bundled for $9.99. (You'd be paying for Renegade, compatibility with modern machines, and *maybe* the soundtracks?)
Just theorizing, of course.

Now,
http://www.gog.com/forum/z/z_steel_soldiers/post2 does say
Z: Steel Soldiers is probably coming to GOG this week. (I'm not sure how I'd feel about a 12.99 price tag, though.) Do blue crystals fit with that hint? (I know the color blue fits, but I'd assume crystals were specifically used.) Maybe we're getting both
Crystal Caves and
Z:SS!
