RainbowDragon: BAD NEWS for all(?) of us who have a huge games library and some games they have not yet downloaded: the "NEW" flag besides (not yet downloaded) games is gone :-(!
I have several games in my library which I got through sales (like Pinata) but which are not really interesting for me so I have decided to download and archive them "later" or occasionaly when I update my gog.com backup hard disk... now they have just removed that flag and only the blue dot for updated games remain... sometimes... I really start to dislike the way gog.com is always changing their website ... how they use cookies to sort the way my games are sorted in the library (hate the grid, prefer the list option, but my browsers are configured to delete all cookies on exit), and of course how they try to force me to use the galaxy installers instead of classic installers (and still offer no option in the account settings to offer non galaxy installers as default)...
To be honest, I've never trusted the GOG website to display those, relying instead on the ability to sort by the purchase date in situations like that.
...but I definitely agree that this is demotivating. GOG and Humble Bundles brought me back to gaming around 2010 and now it's feeling like gaming is dying a second death for me, just as I'm finally starting to get back into playing them to any significant degree rather than being addicted to fanfiction.
*sigh* I suppose I can get back into all of the sci-fi novels I thrifted or picked up used but have yet to read. That's a medium I haven't yet walked far enough down the curve of diminishing returns on to feel demoralized.
