zeogold: *****SPECIAL THANKS*****
A warm thanks to the following people:
- snowkatt for playing our well-beloved prosecutor
- Bookwrym627 for pitching in when snowkatt couldn't make it
- amrit9037 for playing the defense
- XxXSprayvWarXxX for filling in when amrit couldn't make it
- Krypsyn for acting as our defendant
- cecil for acting as a vital plot device
- superstande for being a wonderful agent
- Azhdar, Fantasysci5, and Krypsyn (again) for acting as lovely witnesses
- yogsloth for working as a lovely plant in the jury
- An especially huge thanks to gnostic and sunshinecorp for donating the prizes!
A special acknowledgement to:
- DyNaer and others who struggle with English yet bravely took on this challenge anyways
- All of you who bravely helped carry on after the discouraging derailing

All of you guys helped to make this game much more fun! I only hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! I apologize for the bumps in the road and the excessive, unexpected length, but eh, it only serves to learn from. I look forward to hopefully seeing some of you again in the next trial!
Yes, Big Thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun and to the generous donors. Really was a lot of fun :D

Also any idea when the next court will be? (this might almost become the next Forum Mafia thread, just less scary)

sunshinecorp: Yeah it was fun. Slow. But fun.

zeogold: That was a big mistake on my part due to unforeseen yet predictable problems. I'll work to fix this next time.
Always keep a replacement family member ready, you never know when you need one (or two) ;)

Soon™ apparently.

There's been a pyromaniac prosecutor tearing through bagels, an old man with a shotgun, a flaming, cheese-covered shag rug, and a naked potato dancing the hula, and you say it's LESS SCARY?!
.....yeah, you're probably right.
Again, big thanks to everyone who joined this time.

And a special thanks to Gnostic for his generosity and being an overall awesome guy :D

...you seem to forget about Darleen Dangerfield.
Or Jeremy Oaks.

Also, if I may give some feedback which might be useful for the next game:

_I really loved how you got other members to be witnesses/lawyers... etc. This was a huge improvement over the last version. Again a thank you to all the helpers.

_While I liked all the chat, sometimes it was too much. I'd be absent for a day and come back to 15 new pages to plough through. I'd have to skip many posts and run the risk of missing some official information. For the next edition, would it be a good idea to have a separate game thread for official posts, jury voting... etc and a discussion thread where all the chatting, jokes... etc would go?

Might work, but would be hard to implement I think. Also might make it a little harder to conceal surprises, like Yog being a Mafia plant (which I didn't know about).

The banter, that was actually somewhat in the mafia's job description. A good deal of you from the last game said you wanted a red herring of sorts, so I gave you a literal box of red herrings along with giving the mafia (mainly just yogsloth, really) to attempt to sway your votes and distract you with nonsensical comments if it seemed like you were on the right track.
I actually thought the OP would solve this problem. Whenever new evidence showed up, I would put it on the OP, fourth post, along with the "Puzzlemaster's thoughts" hint. Technically, that's all the official information you need unless you're talking theories the other jurors have.
I know my actual participation trailed off pretty significantly after D1/D2, but it was definitely entertaining and I enjoyed the banter.

Very ambitious, and well done to zeo, the actors, and all the other participants!

Thanks to everyone who took part in this fun enterprise. I enjoyed it.

And ofcourse, Big Thanks to Zeo for all the hard work in steering the game in the right direction. Cheers.

Yeah, I didn't think about this...

And of course, you being you, that was nearly all you needed to get the right answer.
I'm still trying to figure out how you do it.
So, my apologies I've been tied up most of the day. Real life kept competing with the winding down and completion of my own game elsewhere on this site.

I just wanted to say "thank you" to Zeo for a great and fun game. What a smashing concept! Much looser in feel than a "real" Mafia game, and really, really well put together. I recognize a ton of work when I see it.

I just hoped I added a little entertainment along the way. My only job was to try and convince the other jurors to vote "guilty", and although I failed UTTERLY, I gave it the old college try, lol.

Of course, I was slightly hampered by the fact there wasn't a single shred of evidence against the defendant whatsoever, but hey, you know, you can't have everything!

And I would like to assert - no, I never cared about winning. That was 100% an act. Zeo even offered me a prize for participating here, but I turned it down. It was all about the glory! All for the glory. Well, for the glory and the babes. Mostly the babes. Only the babes. I'd settle for a picture of a babe. You get the point.

So yes, I came on a little strong at times, but that was part of the act to try and convince someone else if THEY wanted to win, they had a chance to beat me with a better explanation, ha ha!

Yeah, I sucked. It never worked.

But again, it was great fun, and I hope everyone else enjoyed the twists as much as I enjoyed being a part of it.
