I have never seen a "harasser" of Sarkeesian using the hashtag. And her harassment is not realy undeserved or abnormal. It is not because she is a womyn, it is because she is a pundit, a public figure, she is spreading lies, she wants to censor others, and she is basically a disgusting person. I am not condoning the harassment, but I am stating she is not experiencing anything different to what Jack Thompson went through. Actually Thompson got more credible threats to his physical safety and he never used them to his benefit. At least Thompson had a sense of honor. That is as I have pointed a difference between conservatives and "progressive" "liberals" (Note the quotations) cons have a bit of honor and values because that is what they stand for.

About the wage gap myth, if logic does not magically disprove it then it is not complex, it is absurd and fake. Trust me, all corporations care about is production and profit, they don't care about men or womyn (I will keep mocking that term). They only want to make shekels. If they pay women less is because they don't work over time as often as men, they tend to quit jobs more often and stay for less time due to family, and actually many corporations are actually reluctant to hire women because of the multiple ways in which they exploit the law. Womyn present harassment complains,specially fake ones more often than men, and in general womyn, specially those who studied gender studies and similar parasitic majors become a walking lawsuit and therefore a liability.

Of course it's a myth. There's huge swaths of the economy where everybody makes the same amount of money and there's no salary negotiation involved. Everywhere I've personally worked everybody got paid based upon their credentials without any actual negotiation involved.

That is more or less the norm these days.

The only way you can come up with a wage gap is if you compare the total per capita income of men versus women without any consideration for the value of the work being done or the pay. Then you wind up with something that probably does leave women behind. But, that's only because you're including outliers. I doubt most men expect to be making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

Indeed. The only situations I can think of where women might not make as much as men would be in cases where there's negotiation for salary or when there's a commission/bonus involved. But, even there, they did eventually pass the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 which helps things out.

Ultimately, the only thing that's going to settle the matter is if people start actually talking about how much they're making and what their benefits are. I think that in most cases it's not going to be particularly surprising, but it would help a lot with workers' rights.
