This day is seen as the spark that really ignited gamergate. Had these morons not declared gamers dead, gg would probably have died down looooooooong ago.

Sorry, but you're embarrassing yourself. As proof of collusion in the video game press, you're alluding to fourteen articles by people on a certain mailing list. These fourteen articles do not exist. Almost none of the authors of the articles you link to are on that (in itself, in no way incriminating) list. Precious few of the articles you link to were even written by bona fide video game journalists. The opinions presented in the articles you linked to vary a great deal.

In short, your conspiracy theory is, top to bottom, bullshit.

Don't get me wrong, there's plenty collusion, but gamergate has been hilariously bad at pointing it out, because all gamergate is ever interested in is where they've been "insulted".

Sorry to say this, but some of you guys (girls, transgenders, TVs, genderless, etc.) are just... creepy. Not every game is for everyone. Accept it. Play what you like, don't play what you don't like. If there's something in a game that you find really disturbing: go, rant about it. If there's some journo who writes stuff you find absolutely inadequate: go, rant about it. Don't try to tell me that Sarkeesian and all the other media figures making money with fanning the heat and being the main protagonists now are "gamers". I also don't think that it's born in any gaming culture but completely outside of it, some people (not even that many) who actually play video games just jumped on the bandwagon because it's always cool and a way to make lots of money to blame and shame people today, obviously.

It's made by neo-feminists (I refuse to call them feminists, because I have this term reserved for the people who actually made this world a better place by supporting freedom and equality) who are NOT gamers at all.

Female gamers are mostly pro-#gg from what I gathered and are threatened by rabid neo-feminists just like their male friends, sometimes even more.

Err, quite a few are even game developers. And, yes, if you've looked outside your bubble for just a bit, maybe even got to Idle Thumbs podcast #176, a whole new perspective might open up to you.

The only people who even give a shit about video games are people who play games. Feminist literature critics, feminist movie critics, feminist video game critics. Same damn thing.

The "not gamers" narrative is a defense mechanism meant to dismissing criticism before it's even voiced. And it's not a good one.

I know about the few devs, after all the corruption of some of those was the key element to bend the whole topic to the current topics. Using "feminism" when you lack valuable arguments is the "nazi-card" of the early 21st century after all.

I may remind you again, that #gamergate always was about corruption in journalism and exactly those corrupt people are using the usually strong blind hatred of neo-feminist to move the focus away from what it's about.
It actually didn't have anything to do with male/female-stuff at all but simply with corruption and those people are using you now.
