zeogold: Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Burnout Paradise: Ultimate Box, Mirror's Edge

Dessimu: Mirror's Edge is a great game overall. Since me and my friend are interest in parkour. Though, speaking of the game, I never finished it, because I got terrible lag at one point in the game and it would always crash. Maybe my computer wasn't capable enough to handle Mirror's Edge nicely.
Probably Nvidia Physx, it has major issues in that game.

Yes, that was MY problem with the game (also crashed then). I solved this by installing the Nvidia Legacy Physx drivers.

Yup, still an issue all these years later. Framerate goes to shit when physx is turned on even with my GTX 980.

Have you tried the legacy driver? Fixed my framerate and crash issues completeley (GTX960).

I will once I feel like playing it again. :)
Is Splinter Cell viable as single player, or is it mostly co-op?

The 1st one? I've only ever played it SP.

I don't know the order - it's Chaos Theory.

Anyway, it sounds like it's playable KB+M and single player, so might I humbly request Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory?

If either of those turn out to be untrue I'll unrequest it ;)

I have a physical copy of the game (3rd in the series). played it SP only on my PC with KB+M controls. works great. very good game.
(however, didn't play it on win 7 or modern hardware, etc)

i'd love to try burnout paradise (origin). hopefully it will be better than the aweful freebie "most wanted" on origin. ;-)

it is
nfs most wanted is a cut down version of burnout paradise but with not even half the options or the charm
Hi Zeo! I would love to give "Dead Space" a home. I love horror games, and I've heard good things about it, though I'm not much into shooters. :)

Dead Space is survival horror.
It turns into more of an action shooter with the second and third.

From poking about Google a bit, it appears it has a single-player as well as a co-op campaign. There's a multiplayer mode, but the lobbies are fairly dead these days. Assuming that KB+M means keyboard and mouse, apparently that's considered one of the better ways to play.
Granted.

I think it does involve a fair bit of shooting, from what I've heard, although it's mainly survival.
Granted.

Sorry about not being around recently, folks. I've had a bit of a cold (again), so my head's been whirling and I've consequently been rather out of it. I think I'm improving now, though.

Thanks to zeo for hosting and Omega for the game! Looking forward to playing it, and UPlay is fine by me (I'm only anti-Origin). ;)

I played Dead Space a bit - my sense is that it was less shooter and more atmosphere. Since I don't like horror games I didn't get very far (I was hoping it was more shooter with some monster elements, a la Far Cry 1 or even FEAR), but I didn't feel like the 'shooter' part was as emphasized as just keeping your nerves. Definitely found it creepy. ;)
