With the horrible Win10 around, 2016 could be the best year for Linux, BUT.. they should really improve Wine game\progs compatibility! (and better maintain that table on the site)

And I don't think anything but Freedom Planet would run on my 10 year old Linux Laptop. I already own that, though.

replacing the windows partition with a Linux OS of the same size is fairly easy since there is an option in the installer for that specific configuration.

you shouldn't have to worry about the boot loader as all that is dealt with automatically.

it wont hurt to install add a boot partition for every OS you install. when i tried something similar grub always failed to pick up the other OS.

if its only games you worry about then now isnt the best time to switch to linux.
there are far more games for windows than there are for pc.
even with wine, it takes more work to run exe files than it does in windows.

i choose to run Linux more for what it represents and i am a bit paranoid. if you just want you system to be as convenient as possible, then i see no reason to switch now.

I tried Linux after talking to some folks after your last giveaway. And I'm glad I did. All of the pain of Windows is gone. And I was paying for the pain! I had no idea Linux had come so far.

I switched b/c Windows was eating all of my resources on my older PC once I switched to Windows 10. And Win10 and the MS ecosystem is the future of Windows. Win 10 will minimize your game and pop up an ad, it will restart your computer in the middle of an online game without asking, and on my PC it would download updates and hog all of my system resources for hours to do it.

WIn 7 was lots nicer. But it's gone in 5 years.

Linux solved all my problems. I can't play some games, it's true. But there's plenty enough to play to keep me occupied. So it works great for me. It does take some learning, though.

Oh, also, very few virus concerns. Yippee! :)

i have not tried playing any games on it even though it has high specs.
