RWarehall: Almost every developer who has commented on it (including those that reject it) have stated that the guaranteed money is just too good to pass up. Too many games launch and fail for them to take the risk their game might be a sales dud.
Apparently Epic's curation is looking at Steam's most wishlisted, so they already go for those less likely to fall. And if they underperform in Epic, what then? Will it cover their backs, or leave then alone with a pissed off playerbase for their next game.
Something many devs and publishers seem to totally miss is that they have no position of power towards players. We don't need their product to live, yet they behave as if we did and had to put up with their increasing bs.
