It was the horse armor. The animal rights activists believe that Bethesda was unfairly forcing humanist battle apparel on them without their consent.
Damn the Swiss and their hot cocoa and holey cheese. If it weren't for their quality utility knives, I'd be filing an official protest!

Also wondering if this constitutes "hate speech" and if I can be banned for it...

I may get a lot of hate for this, but I think her speech is very convincing. I hope she never gives up on this issue. Somehow, I doubt that she'll let me down on this one (after all, she quite clearly isn't lying or hurting anyone with what she says).

Maxvorstadt: You maybe heard, that "Pony Island" was removed from GoG due to swiss animal rights activists. But this is only the peak of the Iceberg!
Miss Ponyklatscher, chairwoman of "Animals R Us", a swiss animal rights organisation, said: "We will force GoG to take all games, that include animals, from the store. We want to protect the rights of animals, no matter if they are real life animals or digital animals!".
While that quote do appear in the youtube video, it is delivered in an tongue-in-cheek way, a bit like that PC master race thing. The OP is taking an exagered, self-ironic parole totally out of context!

If you watch the video in its entirety, you will find that Miss Ponyklatscher make a pretty compelling case.

It may seem a bit much to talk about "prejudices towards animals". We really needed another term here, something a bit less loaded. But once you begin to be concious about how animals are presented in various media, including games, you can't help but notice that it is all pretty stereotypical and reactionary. Like, sharks are always presented as human-devouring baddies. Of course, this is a trope that have its merits - killer sharks are fun - but wouldn't it be nice if we sometimes could think a bit outside the box? A pure shark sim in the style of Shelter? Or a diving game where sharks behaved realistically for once?

Regarding the removal of "Pony Island", I don't see why it is such a bad thing. "Animals R Us" wrote a letter to GoG. After reading the letter, GoG found that they agreed with its argument, and decided to remove the game from their store. I'm not sure I would have removed it myself, but GoG has always been picky about which games it chooses to sell, and I think they have the right to decide which games they want to sell.

You just reminded me of Red Dead Redemption with their Manibles... where the animals got human meshes and was really freaky and weird looking.

How about... Two thumbs up?
Accursed pony activists. We must teach them a lesson. We must grab our flamethrowers. We must end their menace. We must BURN EVERY LAST PONY FROM EXISTENCE!!! Eradication to all ponies!!!

[EDIT] Wait, wait, wait... Xenomorphs, I meant xenomorphs. Ponies - xenomorphs, I always get the two confused. These aren't xenomorph activists right?

Nevermind then, carry on.

You`re welcome!
Man, the PJWs and their horseshit. I should hoof it on over to their office and tell them, "Hay! The mane problem with you PJWs is that you're galloping into issues without considering the ramifications. You mustang stop and think about what you're doing before you blunder headlong pinto a fight you can't win."
