Tallima: Since you've still not posted what you said or did, and since it's fairly typical for people to get banned for saying inappropriate, ban-worthy things, might I suggest reading more and posting less until you get a hang of appropriate communication?

Your rage against the machine is perhaps righteous or at least meaningful, but accomplishes nothing. Look at how shakers and movers communicate and mimick their style and methods.

Then, before you know it, you'll likely no longer care about mods, bans, or feel so passionate about such innane things and be passionate about shaking and moving real causes. And then you'll find yourself not getting banned.

I wish you luck.
That is circular reasoning. You can't comply with degenerate mods because then they win, defeating the point of opposing this. Also, WE HAVE TRIED normal communication. IT HAS NO EFFECT. WHY?

Because that's why they're douchebags in the first place!

Mori_Yuki: Turning to GOG community for help doesn't get you anywhere.

Turn to Steam support and tell them what happened and why you think your ban was unwarranted. Based on their findings your ban will likely be lifted or stay in place otherwise.
You're making the assumption they aren't out to get people and screw with them. I have been positive for years to corporate executives. It never works. They are simply too arrogant and feel untouchable.

Well if you talked there as you talk here, then I would ban you as well. Kinda annoying and that makes you into an easy victim for arbitrary banning.
BTW, were you bullied in school often?

Crevurre: I told you it was germans guys. Europeans have to eliminate this element of germans.
Wow, yeah, you wouldn't even lasted 10 minutes on Jonny's CS server in 2003, let alone on a forum in 2020.
So instead of asking for social or behavioral engineering for Germans, why not just make Brits more compliant? I mean most of them are already there, just a few outliers left ;)

I don't assume anything as I know there are mods and forum owners acting as like whatever one says that isn't positive about their game is a lie or personal attack. That's causing some to start banning or ridiculing or closing topics or making up excuses. This isn't acceptable and this is why there are rules in place for both sides.

From personal experience with Steam support I turned to when running into a particularly nasty situation they reacted quickly, investigated the situation, instated an external moderator who knew their job, lifted bans and did their utmost to fix the situation.

The thing was that the owner of a game forum wasn't happy that his EA wasn't well received. He started locking all topics, banning users and basically the only one able to contribute was he. I don't name names or point fingers as it got resolved as stated above.

Thinking that everyone's just out there to get you is wrong. Knowing the situation from both sides of the fence maybe sometimes it isn't the other person's fault when things start going down south. Not knowing your story and what actually happened leading to your ban, like telling us which forum you got banned from there isn't much more I can say that hasn't already been said.

hey man, all those assumptions again. I was one of the people who instituted the wave of bs. i had no idea it would come to this. I observed non-stop homophobia and insults on an xbox halo servers in the usa 10+years ago, all on one pink wearing halo player. microsoft realised what the situation was letting it happen completely and i believe it cascaded into this. douchbags on private gaming communities are not a standard for anything so saying i wouldn't last ion one is ridiculous. have you seen how cliquey and hooey most game communities are?

so you get lucky with some mod and think it's fine. it's not. your name alone will get you special treatment.

there was way more freedom 10+ years ago. you could have a non-stop stream of swearing and abuse, homophobia the lot NON-STOP. So don't try lie about it. I KNOW WHAT FREEDOM WAS AROUND on official M$ servers (yes official) YOU WILL NOT LIE ABOUT IT AND TAKE IT AWAY. with your german revisionism.

Crevurre: I was just banned illegally from steam forum based on assumptions by the mods. There are no checks on this behaviour.

Mods do it with impunity, without fear of being fired for wrongdoing. This is a really bad, PERSISTENT pattern with corporations in the USA, UK and Canada now.

Something HAS TO BE DONE.
Do what i did tell them to delete your accout, its the only thing to do. The steam mods use too it to me all the time. Its a hard thing to do ,deleteing your account, i had like 1500 plus in games there, but I got sick of them. It gets worse too if you get banned to many times from thier fourms they will ban you from multiplayer. I wasnt able to invite any one to any of my games, or join them.

The one that finally sent me over was I made a post about 4k and how its a gimick if you sit back 10 feet and only have a small tv. This other guy came in said i was retarded and shouldnt of been born, I reaponded with a link to rting where they did the math, and gave him my own expwrience in it, and said you are just being crazy not reading anything. I said im gonna stop talking about it because steam is gonna ban us.

They banned me, and left his post saying i should be dead, and with no ban.

I messaged steam they said doesnt matter, you called him crazy and if you didnt respond to him we wouldnt of banned you. We arent banning him, and we arent unbanning you. Stop responding to people like that in the future.

I said sounds like some nazi nonsense to me, and delete my account.

If more of you delete your account and tell steam off, they will stop thier banning nonsense. They do it because they know the majority are so addicted to steam, it doesnt matter what they do.

this is the worst part, the double standards it is everywhere
you get banned for minor things , while they can still continue posting hateful toxic derogatory posts

Crevurre: yes something does. this is actually to do with Intersectional theory. it's all related to the same thing. I wasn't spamming, or anything like that.
You mean intersectional feminism? Who are oppressed more, Steam or GOG users?
Check your privileges, while you are at it!

Peope, Re-Volt! It is a good game! Play it now!

Sounds like a good reason to stop using Steam and start using GOG, where you get the bonus of actually owning the games you buy.

Orkhepaj: this is the worst part, the double standards it is everywhere

That is very true, I wouldnt of deleted my steam account and went to gog if they were fair in it, but they arent. It is probly bot based like blizzard where they just ban the person who gets reported first which turns it into a game for these people lol. Blizzard is worse, I got banned from heroes of the strom once because i typed weed is a drug.

The problem with all these things is they are no longer human based for the most part, so what we have is tje majoroty of places in my experience is mob rule. So like my example of me saying weed is a drug, the people there that I was talking to didnt like it, and most of those people there have 5 accounts so they just reported me in mass and it bans me.

So thats why I call it nazi nonsense, all communications any more are garbage, and if you dont conform to what ever majoirty you are talking to you will get banned. Which leads to a bunch of little bubble groups that only allow people who are identical to them or pretend to be. Making all communication online useless, having a echo chamber of conformity never leads to anything good.

I generally get banned from everything haha, because i have a instinct almost to take the side thats losing, and if you do that anywhere on the internet they ban you. Which honestly I dont care any more.

Steam though goes to far because they will take your paid games away from you, so will blizzard. That to me is going over the line, and makes people who report others more foul tha the people talkong trash.

I say that because these people know very well steam and blizzard will rob you of your games, because technically they arent your anyways. So in thier games to get you banned they are causing you phsyical pain by making you lose money. Where as some one shit talking is just all in your head, and can easily be ignored.

Crevurre: so you get lucky with some mod and think it's fine. it's not. your name alone will get you special treatment.
Lucky as far as the outcome indeed. The story wasn't about the mod but to counter that Steam or support in general doesn't do anything for anyone unless you are Mr. Gabe or HL_Andy. If that was the case nothing would ever change.

I readily acknowledge that your experience and many other's will not match my own. You may constantly run into trouble without it being your fault. I already acknowledged knowing that there are some nasty pieces assuming the role of moderators harming a community more than helping it thrive and grow. Owners and corporate representatives sometimes aren't any better. In the end it is always your choice whether it's worth it to fight it out if you feel you've been unfairly treated or simply walk away. Your call.

Nationality got nothing to do with how you or anyone involved is treated. Just because someone somewhere got German written below their nickname doesn't mean that it's their country of origin. They may well be Polish, Turkish, Serbian, Japanese, African or Russian. If someone acts like an ass they would do so no matter who you are or where you're from. This goes both ways and the only way to resolve a problem whenever it occurs is the place it happened and the people involved. Again, this is up to whoever is involved what the outcome will be: positive || negative.
