Since this has to adhere to canon, I assume anything other than the Dark Side ending is going to be removed because Revan was a revered Sith Lord by the time EpIX happened.

all the effort doesnt matter if the gameplay is boring
it is a good remake of a bad game, just think about how many would play this game if it wouldnt be a cnc
Whether or not it's bad is entirely subjective. But yes, the gameplay was not touched, changed, butchered, streamlined, simplified or anything else. If somebody found the original boring, this is not for them. It is exactly as it was back then and aimed at the fans. MADE for the fans. Which is why it was so successful with 91% positive reviews on Steam. The review you linked specifically states that they didn't play the original first game. So the guy was not the target audience. It is really not that complicated.

If it was just another lazy remaster overpriced remaster, it wouldn't be so universally well received. And you also get 2 games in the package (C&C: Tiberian Dawn and C&C: Red Alert). The original games are pretty difficult to get running without issues so that is another plus of the remaster.

All the Star Wars games with multiple endings always had one that was canon.
Translation: We are out of ideas and creatively bankrupt, so we will just bastardize existing games with pointless remakes.

To make things worse, the developer openly states that this game will have forced agendas like feminism, white male bad, etc etc.

YaTEdiGo: Would this remaster also be afraid of women butts?
Probably.....and likely showing of legs or any hints of cleavage, etc etc.

It's getting almost puritanical, in some ways. Like I recently started playing the Clair campaign in REmake 2, and had a giggle/facepalm at the skorts....the left who help with/oversee game making these days are getting as bad as(or maybe sometimes worse than) some on the right during the earlier decades of gaming.

Society got pretty far with showing the adult human body as an ok thing, not to be feared or shunned to be shown in media, and then the last few decades happened. If the feminists from decades back were still alive(or of sound enough mind, seeing as many of those who remain are likely very old now), they'd likely be facepalming and sighing to no end.

idbeholdME: I am a fan and I still enjoy the gameplay and play through the campaigns of all C&C games every so often and am extremely grateful they kept it intact.
C&C was one of the first games played in our house, and I loved the intro/the cutscenes/some of the characters/the music/a number of the units, etc etc....all good or quite decent.

thats what im saying the target audience are the ones who buy it for nostalgia not because it is a good game

dunno how subjective is it when probably most people would never buy or play the game if it was not labeled as c&c game had its time but now it wouldnt sell

nightcraw1er.488: Just seen this on Moddb:
https://www.moddb.com/features/kotor-remake-announced-5-incredible-kotor-i-and-ii-mods-to-play

Looks like another remake in the works.
The game is going to be DOA for any actual Star Wars fans.
The new writer is a man-hating feminist.

Aspyr doesn't release games on gog. I doubt they'll be changing their minds in time for this game's release. Thus, this game may as well not exist as far as I'm concerned. Of course I'm also wary of a game with a proud misandrist and self-serving liar on the writing staff, but that's a different issue. Too bad. I really like KOTOR 1 & 2, in spite of mostly disliking the Star Wars universe.

If it's a real remake I assume it'll have action combat and much bigger zones, which would be interesting to see. As long as the original remains in existence the idea of that doesn't bother me at all, whether it ends up being bad or not. A Star Wars RPG is always a cool idea.

If it's more of a remaster then the history of those is VERY spotty. It's rare that one is a clear improvement across the board. So that would be less exciting, especially since on PC you can already run the game at ungodly resolutions and framerates. We'll see what happens though, again the original still exists.

Aspyr refuses to sell their KOTOR games, at least. They have a history of refusing sale on gog. I'm betting there are special third party circumstances that led them to sell the games you link, similar to how Falcom probably insisted on NISA selling their games here, which does nothing to get NISA to sell anything else.

ShadowWulfe: An offline mode for TOR would be nice. Like the Hellgate that's available.
I really hope they do that should they ever decide to no longer support the game. The story mode for my Sith Inquisitor has actually been pretty interesting so far. Take out some of the MMORPG irritants like seeing people running about and overly massive maps the game has been a pretty legit enjoyable single player experience. I mentioned it before but its the closest to a KoTOR III that we'll get.

Butthurt-ception.

Honestly, I have no interest in this remake, butthurt feminist involved or not.
