I think I had more sleep today than I had for the entire sale. Been operating on maybe 1-2 hours of sleep per day. Glad it ended on a weekend so I could finally recharge. Ate some food at a little slower/normal rate than I was doing, and went and watched the new Godzilla movie. It was a whole lot better than that horrible 1998 version. And finally glad to have some free time without being attached to a screen for hours on end... Okay, maybe that last part was normal.
It's a very nice community here, most people are very friendly. Heck I had three people PMed me and if ask if there were any games I missed! Though I said it before and I'll say it again, "You people talk too damn much". Whenever I came back after not have access to the internet, I would have to a few hundred to a thousand post (or more!) to catch up to the current one. And on top of that, a hundred more posts would be added while I'm going through them.
Another thing was the shear amount of gifting to strangers that was occurring. It was very enjoyable to see. Now as for my gifting, I'm somewhat ashamed to admit, I didn't buy any gift copies. So I did not think I deserved to receive any games even though there were a few I would have liked to. There should to be a balance. Debated quite awhile with myself if I should of accepted the one gift I did get.
Anyway, I guess I'll do what other people are doing and show the games I got:
Shelter
Quest for Glory 1-5
King's Quest 4+5+6
Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space
Still Life
Gobliiins pack
Space Quest 4+5+6
Shattered Haven
Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse
11th Hour, The (freebie)
Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages
Deus Ex 2: Invisible War
Gomo
The Last Express
Deponia 3: Goodbye Deponia
Long Live the Queen (gift)
Missed one I really wanted, and a few that I didn't "miss" per say, but didn't know if I wanted to spend the money on. Still ended up getting too many and going over my budget...Damn...
I know this post is getting a little long and depressing, but I have one more thing. I was going to track down info about the sale, primarily all of Pidgeot's data he collected and make a list of statistics for the rounds. Times quickest/slowest; average sales per minute, start/end times; money GOG racked in; and many more stats. I'll contact Pidgeot and see if he's okay with that, or if he wanted to do something himself. If okay, I'll probably start a new thread with the data when I finish it and provide a link here. Now if there is someone else anyone knows about who is/will do this, I'll...well I'm still going to do it, but keep it to myself.
I really like this community...almost as much as the only other forum I participate in. They don't talk nearly as much. Ha!
