I think I had more sleep today than I had for the entire sale. Been operating on maybe 1-2 hours of sleep per day. Glad it ended on a weekend so I could finally recharge. Ate some food at a little slower/normal rate than I was doing, and went and watched the new Godzilla movie. It was a whole lot better than that horrible 1998 version. And finally glad to have some free time without being attached to a screen for hours on end... Okay, maybe that last part was normal.

It's a very nice community here, most people are very friendly. Heck I had three people PMed me and if ask if there were any games I missed! Though I said it before and I'll say it again, "You people talk too damn much". Whenever I came back after not have access to the internet, I would have to a few hundred to a thousand post (or more!) to catch up to the current one. And on top of that, a hundred more posts would be added while I'm going through them.

Another thing was the shear amount of gifting to strangers that was occurring. It was very enjoyable to see. Now as for my gifting, I'm somewhat ashamed to admit, I didn't buy any gift copies. So I did not think I deserved to receive any games even though there were a few I would have liked to. There should to be a balance. Debated quite awhile with myself if I should of accepted the one gift I did get.

Anyway, I guess I'll do what other people are doing and show the games I got:

Shelter
Quest for Glory 1-5
King's Quest 4+5+6
Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space
Still Life
Gobliiins pack
Space Quest 4+5+6
Shattered Haven
Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse
11th Hour, The (freebie)
Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages
Deus Ex 2: Invisible War
Gomo
The Last Express
Deponia 3: Goodbye Deponia
Long Live the Queen (gift)

Missed one I really wanted, and a few that I didn't "miss" per say, but didn't know if I wanted to spend the money on. Still ended up getting too many and going over my budget...Damn...

I know this post is getting a little long and depressing, but I have one more thing. I was going to track down info about the sale, primarily all of Pidgeot's data he collected and make a list of statistics for the rounds. Times quickest/slowest; average sales per minute, start/end times; money GOG racked in; and many more stats. I'll contact Pidgeot and see if he's okay with that, or if he wanted to do something himself. If okay, I'll probably start a new thread with the data when I finish it and provide a link here. Now if there is someone else anyone knows about who is/will do this, I'll...well I'm still going to do it, but keep it to myself.

I really like this community...almost as much as the only other forum I participate in. They don't talk nearly as much. Ha!

Tarnicus: A wonderful experience of community, peace love and mung beans and then it's back to the "real world". Thank fuck I don't live in the real world anymore. Some people's reality is darn scary to me! Spending an entire lifetime slaving for money to pay off a debt for a house to retire when one is too old to enjoy the benefits of youth? No thanks! :D
Amen to that! I worked a management job that drove me kinda crazy, and I'd come home and be depressed, for too many years because I thought it was what I was supposed to do as a grown up. After my dad died I decided that life was too short and I had to not be afraid to try something I was passionate about. Now I work for myself, I make less money and I'm so much happier with life : D

Now that I've had time to decompress, I thought I would share my sale statistics/story as others have done.

While I've known about GOG for a number of years, it wasn't until Tuesday, 5/13, while reading an article about the sale on GameSpot that I finally came to have a look. The article specifically mentioned Shadowrun Returns, so I had to check it out to see if it would come back up again.

After watching a few games tick by, I made my way to the forum and found this thread (thanks, IAmSinistar!) and checked out the game list. There were three games I had to have; Shadowrun Returns, Torchlight, and Police Quest 1+2+3+4. The sale was already halfway through Round 2, so I knew I had to be vigilant in order to not miss my chances. This thread became a crucial source of information and entertainment right from the start.

So, how did I do?

The only game that piqued my interest too late to grab it was Symphony. Still, coming for three games and leaving with twenty is hardly ground to stand on to complain. I was also able to grab a few extra codes here and there to potentially give away in the future. People, like foxworks, tossing codes out like a digital Santa Claus made me want to join the club. ^_^

But, as I stated in a previous post, while I came for the games, it was the community that turned out to be the best prize. The generosity, helpfulness, and hospitality that you fine folks have emanated over the course of this week is unparalleled. Thank you for making a newbie feel so instantly welcomed.

Special thanks to Krostas for his Dungeon Keeper Gold freebie code! And to bioshark for swapping a copy of FTL I picked up for Inherit the Earth and Time Gentlemen, Please!

What are you talking about? -continues prepping and adding to the wishlist in anticipation of the next round-
Hi everyone. Is there an official forum page for trading non-gog games?

I purchased the new Team 17 Daily Humble Bundle, and I would like to trade Superfrog HD, Worms Blast, Worms Pinball, Alien Breed 1: Impact, Alien Breed 2: Assault and Alien Breed 3: Descent for a Steam key of Long Live The Queen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)!

P.S. Sorry if this post is off-topic, but since this appears to be the most viewed topic on the forums at the moment, I figured this would be the best place to get a possible answer.
