Shambhala: Any theories on why Telltale's games are so overpriced?
avatar
Telika: Theory : they are not.
Plot twist!

I actually really liked Tales of Monkey Island by the way, but 35$ is a little much...

IAmSinistar: The code is GOGbearing on you? That's a new one. This sale really has mucked up the servers.
avatar
tinyE: AT least they don't throw shit elevator music at you while you are waiting.
That is indeed a plus. I particular hate those 15-second snippets which are constantly intercut with the same robotic message. They're lucky the support desk is usually at least a continent out of my reach.

+1

The only one I've played so far is The Walking Dead: Season One, and it was bought for me by a buddy who insisted I needed to play it, but even if I'd paid for it myself, it would have been well more than worth the price.
Which one is better: Beyond Time and Space or The Devil’s Playhouse? Have funds only for one.
Thanks

Good Gog, what does it take to get a free game from this sale? There's only a handful of games left and I've yet to get a single one.

Stilton: Narcia_, you asked me earlier how I had time to play all of the games in my GOG collection (there are over a hundred) and I tried several times to reply, but the system wouldn't work for some reason. I thought I'd better write a new post to give you the answer, as it felt a bit rude to say nothing.

Here's the answer: I'm training my feet to use a keyboard.

If you're unconvinced by that (and I don't blame you) the honest answer is I hope to get around to playing them all, but if I don't its just nice having them!
Aw, thanks. I know messages get lost with so much activity on the boards. Believe it or not, I've seen someone actually use a keyboard with their feet! Not very well ... but better than you might think.

Anyway, my backlog is nothing to sneeze at either. I like to say it's "for my retirement". Basically, my rule is not to buy it if I wouldn't want to play it. I can't get behind having a thing just so it can sit on my shelf (unless it's art, 'cause I'll appreciate that) People that collect things and leave them shrink wrapped drive me crazy because they're actually denying someone else the ability to use/enjoy that thing. I guess digital media is kind of a relief after all. lol

You'll get a free copy of Humans Must Answer... if only to speed up the sale of that batch a bit :D

But compared to what ? To the "normal price" of a single adventure game (as opposed to a pack of five) ? To the "normal price" of indies discounted to dust in bundles ?...

A "normal price", for a single (and often bad) computer game, is usually around $60.

Tarnicus: Let's say you offer something publicly and get a reply from someone and are curious as to their participation in the community? Here's the easy way to see most of it:

http://www.gog.com/forum/general?search=Tarnicus

Input their user name there and if all you see is someone who asks or accepts gifts and gives NOTHING...well you've got your answer about their character.
Thank you very much! I already tried ?user=xxxx which did not work and was about to ask for such a search. :)

haha, "batch" was not the word I saw when I first glanced at this post.

Levrifon: :) If you know someone who missed it, don't hesitate to tell me :)

stg83: I am sure after the promo finishes you may find some people looking for it the gifting and the classifieds thread. :)
Yep, I'll be looking for a Bard's Tale, my only worry right now is that I don't have anything rare to exchange, I've only got a Torchlight and two Witcher keys to offer right now.
Is Aarklash on sale often, or was this the first time? I'd never heard of the game, and I missed the first round while finding out about the game, and subsequently I missed the second and third rounds, when I actually would have bought it due to things like sleeping and working.

Is it likely that that title is coming on sale soon again, or is it just too new?

Also, my first post on these forums. Hi, everyone!

Neverfree: I would love it, was just asking about the series earlier :)

Zeyes: PM sent.
Thanks so much again, good sir! :D +1 for your awesomeness
