Maybe that's why he's howling.

Now I will have the intro music in my head for hours ... and this will lead to listening to dozend of cartoon intros on youtube :/
Old school RPG with some pretty awesome music. Sorry for being rather vague but this one of three games I have yet to get working in Wine, so it's been a few years since I played it.
I missed Wasteland, Shelter, and Uru. I'll be damned if I miss Krondor and Capitalism 2 as well.

krisbeattie: This Entomorph game is going pretty quick. Worth grabbing? I never heard of it.
I've never played it before. I know it's a "World of Aden" game (which I've never played any of them), so that may be a big selling point.

Looks somewhat plain and uninspired to me.

That's the spirit!

Tallima: So, is there any sort of rhyme or rhythm to getting free games?

I received mine (Time Commando) shortly after a few posts on the forums and I clicked on the Buy Now button just as the game popped up.

I was wondering if maybe the first 25 or so of some games was free. Or maybe it's just a crazy long-shot dice roll?

Verdeloth: The system seems to be more elaborate than that.
I tried it already, I clicked on Buy Now with miliseconds after the games were changed, and nothing happened.
It's not tied to how quickly you click, there have been freebies given out with the counter over half way gone. It does however tie the game to the account, so if you don't get a freebie on the first click you won't get that game on that round. As we're on the last round now if it's not free then it's a simple pay up or wait till the next game

Shambhala: I'm only looking for S&M Save the World, but the more the sale drags on the more I end up buying games I don't care about ahaha
I had a chance to grab S&M in the first round, but thinking they wouldn't sell all of them I just let it slip...
avatar
Niggles: Thats the purpose of the sale.. works on the impulse buyer.... and with the slow sale of certain games, it makes people think more and want to buy more games than they originally wanted hahaha....S&M are good games from what i know - i imagine plenty will buy them because they are good classics, but also because they are....a bit overpriced and chance to get them cheap during this sale...
Are you going to be getting the 2nd and 3rd S&M ?
Of course you are right about both things.
I must admit that's the main reason I'm buying it as well, besides the fact that it has become a sort of a challenge to me.
I already got the 2nd and 3rd :)

Tarnicus: Hey craig Ive noticed you miss and ask for quite a few things so far in multiple threads. Why not stick to the GOG gifting or classifieds thread eh? When one person stands out as constantly missing or asking for things, it doesn't give the best appearance. Yes I note everything I see when it comes to begging :P

LeoLR: Sometimes I see you as a bouncer. :)
Merely a lighter version of the all-seeing Eye of Sauron :P I've seen so many people's good intentioned generosity get taken advantage of here, and it doesn't do the community any good...some wonderful members have left as a result of the way these forums have changed. I'd prefer to encourage that spirit that remains well and truly, and instead shine a light on those who are here to leech. I'm not saying that everyone I "call out" has bad intentions, but I try to do so nicely and how people respond and continue to act afterwards is something I take note of.

I honestly think the reason the ever watchful eye notes all this stuff is from playing Ultima Online. I was mesmerised when I started that game, and very naive. I thought it was going to be a bunch of diehard Ultima fans joining forces to destroy "evil" together and roleplay and wow what a shock I got. I thoroughly enjoyed taking comprehensive notes on people and trying to help others once I saw how much scamming went on in that game.

Want to make a good impression on GOG? Its just like any other social interaction. If you meet someone for the first time and the first thing you do is ask them for something, what does that say about one's character compared to the person who offers? I'm not saying that it is wrong to ask, far from it. But when I see someone continually ask and offer nothing (or offer words and not follow through with actions) I notice :)
I'm really tired... oh god...

got my first freebie (blitzkrieg) in the middle of the sale so i think its pure randomness
( or we really just were well-behaved the last week ;-)

but one only gets 3 or 5 freebies overall - or is someone here with more?
dont dare you..

I owned it on disc back in the day. Worth getting at this price for a D&D type game set in an insect-dominated environment.

LMAO! So true!
Fri, 16 May 2014 12:06:11 UTC: Shadow Man - 75% off ($1.49) - 400

25 games to go after this one. At the rate this round has been progressing, we should finish in about 21½ hours - putting the total time for round 3 at about 3½ days, and the entire sale at a little less than 5 full days.

Furthermore, we will have reached the 4-day mark for the entire sale when this hour ends.
