pigdog: ^This for me too. I've normally had enough when I've completed a standard game. There are exceptions such as Half-Life 2, Star Wars KOTOR, F.E.A.R to name a few but I just wait six months and then play them again. Borderlands seems to be saturated with dlc's. Is that as bad (or good) as it gets with dlc's for a game or are there other titles with more?
the dead or alive 5 dlc's are obscene they are more expensive then the game it self and will rack up to around 150 euro

sims 3 and 4 are a dlc\expansion fest

saints row 3 and 4 also have an obscene amount of dlc with 3 thq went so far as the monetise the cheat codes and sell them as dlc

the game is 40 euro
there are 3 dlc packs ( which are nothing but costume packs
and they are
51 euro
59 euro
and 70 euro
http://store.steampowered.com/app/311730/

so about 220 euro

the fucking dlc's are more expensive then complete games !
Yes, please. It's been a while since this thread got posted, but no changes yet. :( I own every piece of DLC for ME on xbox360, but as I don't play that anymore and switched to PC entirely, it would be nice to purchase it as a lower price. The cost is simply not worth it, and the points system makes no sense.

Keep us posted when you can buy the DLC's for cheap without B-points - I'm also looking forward to that.

Origin does some surprisingly decent sales sometimes. I presume that once a year the points might get a reduction. I sure hope so.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the last time you could get Bioware points at a discount on Origin was in...October 2011, when Origin had a 60% promo code you could use towards just about anything...including Bioware points. Since then, every similar promo code I've seen on Origin seems to exclude 'virtual currency'...which Bioware points qualify as.

https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/272287-ea-origin-client-60-off-selected-pc-games-content-800-bioware-point-packs-etc/

Meanwhile, EA/Bioware expects PC gamers to pay full price for ME2/3 and DA2 DLC, games that came out three to five years ago, while Origin themselves slash the prices of the games themselves to below the price of one of these DLCs on a fairly regular basis.

To add insult to injury, PS3 and X360 owners could get those very same DLCs for 50% off, again, on a fairly regular basis on PSN and Xbox live, respectively.

Oops, sorry for the necro....

I guess that deal was not intented, but quite some players stocked up a significant amount of Bioware point during that time. That might also be why EA can neither put ME2/3 and DA2 DLC on sale nor shut down BP. Offering ME2/3 and DA2 DLC will basically means double discounting the items. They cannot shut down BP outright either as they will need to refund all BP, including those bought with discount, in full. As a result they just leave the whole thing there, and forget about it.

Playing necromancer on a thread like this is good... just so devs and publishers know that while they may want to forget about it, we will not.

I'm hoping that at some point before ME:A is released they decide they will be better off double discounting (assuming that is the reason for no specials) than sticking with the overpriced content.

In the meantime I guess we just vote with our wallet, and complain at every opportunity.

Apparently, Gamestop has decided to sell Bioware points at 33% off, the first time I've personally seen them on sale, and the first time they've been available for a discount since 2011...

Personally, I won't touch any BP, or for that matter, reinstall any EA/Bioware products I have on Steam/Origin/GOG/etc. or purchase any new EA/Bioware product outright), until they either abolish that laughably obsolete virtual currency system altogether, or at the very least Bioware/EA or a third-party retailer discounts it at least 50%...

But if you absolutely have to get Bioware points, and don't want to pay full price (or buy discounted BP from websites of dubious legitimacy or taking advantage of different regions' pricing via means that could potentially endanger your Origin account...), this seems to be the only legit ticket in town at the moment...

As for ME:A, they'd better do something about BP by then, as inevitably, as time goes by, that game will be discounted/lowered in price. EA will look even more foolish than it already does if the BP system is still in place by then, as DLC for games that came out years before ME:A may well end up being priced higher than ME:A itself...
Bioware points are still alive and well. Plus overpriced. Plus stupid.
