There seems to be many game developers in Poland.

And a certain digital retailer too...

That's still huge, it's 30 million polish zloty which is a lot when you consider the cost of living is a lot lower here than countries like the US, Canada, Australia or Germany

What % of Cyberpunk 2077's budget will that cover? 5%? Less? Witcher 3 cost $81 million to develop.

Jut to put in perspective, that's about as much money you need to give 603 people to work for you for a year on an average Polish salary.

No one knows, unless some1 from CDPR will say it exactly, but do no forget there is a big publisher in place.
Like Bamco in EU and WB Games in US + Spike Chunsoft in Japan if I recall correctly, so even though $ 80M were spent on development, it also includes promotion, publisher meetings, licensing deals and other stuff .

I would say the software itself costs less then all those big numbers of money involved.

Does it really, though? Development budget usually doesn't include marketing (which can already balloon the size of a budget by a ridiculous amount. Just ask Activision with Modern Warfare 2.)
