I'm getting some more RAM in a couple of days and have been excited for a long while about this game. Is there anybody out there who likes Cyberpunk 2077? Is there potential for it to become a great game?
Even with the bugs, it is one of the best games I've ever played.

Stories and characters just drag you right in.

Yes there are bugs (some rather annoying, like dying when stepping of a dumpster) and bits that could have been done better, but its a master piece of story telling.
I like it. The only thing that really disappointed me about this game is the RPG mechanics it uses. Too generic and with a lot of level scaling. I was expecting it to be more loyal to the cyberpunk 2020 system...

The best parts for me so far:

* Dialogues: I am the kind of player that skips dialogues in most games like a madman. In CP2077, however, I haven't skipped a single line. They are incredibly well done, the body language, the way you initiate dialogues and interact within them... And JALI makes any localized language to look as natural as the original. That's the most (if not the only one) groundbreaking technology this game has brought so far. Dialogues, though, don't bring too many options (similar to Witcher games)

* Environment: The city and scenarios are detailed to insane levels. You might quickly get used to it, but the first minutes of the game will leave you with your mouth open.

* Hacking: The nicest mechanics on the game are on this part.

However, I have decided to take a little break on the game right now and wait for fixes and additional content added before continuing, but I'm happy with my purchase, even if it fails to deliver what it seemed to promise.

EDIT: fixing a minor typo

I like it. Was a bit disappointed at the start with bugs and some of the content appearing to be cut and ui not being the best but the story and side content suck you in.
I've put about 60 hours in on PC on my very medium set up (Ryzen 3600 with a GTX 1660ti) and it's working like an absolute charm. Steady 60/70 fps throughout and bugs are mostly visual glitches, which I don't really give too much attention, it comes with the huge open world RPG territory. There was one bug where I had to reload a save about 10 min earlier because V wouldn't change out weapons anymore, but that was basically it. I had a blast playing it and started over again on the hardest difficulty. Will continue soon.

That being said. It's not perfect. If I'd rate it, it would be about an 8/10. I'm not going to go into the whole console thing, this is purely based on my experiences with the PC version. Looking over the average review score by people actually playing it (3.8/5 on GOG and about 79% approval on Steam) it seems most PC players seem to agree on that score. For now :)
The general consensus seems to be that the game is very good overall but that the AI needs fixing and that it's insanely buggy. Bugs can be fixed but not so sure about the AI.

I enjoy it in it's current form, my biggest issue with it is that IMHO it's way too "open-world'ish", a lot more than Witcher 3 was, what I means by that is that it feel a little too much like your average open world / theme park like Farcry, GTA, etc... you have a big map with tons of icon on it, you go near an icon, you get a quest, do it, rinse an repeat. I would have preferred something more "organic", as in you hear / read hints, then you go there and it unlock the quest, rather than the Ubisoft-style flashy icon that direct you to the next attraction.
I played it for a few hours and got bored, might try it again in a year or so. The most offensive thing in my opinion wasn't the bugs but the hacking minigame, seriously get that awful shit outta my game.

Good to know that it runs decently on a GTX 1660ti. Planning on getting that card.
Iy has a 'Mostly Positive' rating on Steam, 79% out of 310k reviews. soit looks like quite a few people seem to like it. It also looks like the ratings are goinf up, as it was a few % lower a couple of weeks ago
low rated

Dude, Steam reviews are VASTLY skewed toward the positive end, if a massive AAA multi-million dollar production that has been advertised and hyped everywhere for the last year gets "Mostly Positive" then something is definetely wrong.

i don't think so, as it is based on a binary, which is then aggregated. "do you recommend this game yes/no" - that is the ranking. The reviews are something else, and you need to read them. So 79% of the people who played it on steam, found it good enough to recommend. I think that's a good number, more than average. What you read into it, is your problem. I have enjoyed games with a lot lower score then this

edit - don't forget that to be able to give a ranking and review on steam, you need to own the game and you must have played it for a certain amount of time, as oposed to other stores I know. I tend to find the Steam score a good yardstick, as it is based on players agregated ranking, instead of single reviewers subjective scores. SO out of the 310k players ~245k players liked it enough to recommend it. So to answer the OP quesion, yes at least 245k players on Steam liked it

I personally don't care much about bugs and glitches. Every piece of software have them and I can play with them for the most part. Well, it got really comical when the gameplay got broken if the save got too big, and you couldn't change the keys.

The game hasn't crashed once.

If i ignore the sparkling fact that there are a lot of things missing (like AI, and other cut content), inconsistencies all over the game, linear story and almost no dialogue options (even FO4 has more), game being censored, NPCs have no life cycles (even Skyrim has them. Just a few would be nice), and the fact that they lied to get more orders in, then yes, I can enjoy a fun mediocre looter-shooter. :D

However, I love driving around the city with some retrowave/darkwave in the background. The beautiful artwork and the details here are the best of any game, so they get 10/10 there. Just a shame it's lifeless.

I'm running it on the "High" settings btw, using the recommended settings by Geforce Experience. And most of all, be sure to download the CP2077 game ready drivers, hehe.
